Educational Background

Graduated from Mechanicsburg High School (Go Wildcats!) in 1996

Graduated from Susquehanna University (Go Crusaders!) with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2000

Graduated from Lebanon Valley College (Go Dutchmen?) with a Master of Science Education degree in 2006

Teaching Experience Student Taught at Selinsgrove High School (Go Seals!), Selinsgrove,

PA during the fall of 2000

Substitute Taught all grades for Selinsgrove School District during the winter/spring of 2001

Taught High School Biology and Conceptual Physics at Central Dauphin East High School (Go Panthers!), Harrisburg, PA during the 2001-2002 school year

Taught 7th grade Life Science at Central Dauphin East Middle School from 2002-2007

I have been teaching at Spring Grove High School (Go Rockets!) since 2007. I took last year off to be home with my daughter, but am excited to be back!

Interests

I love to: Read Run- have done 2 marathons and 2 half-marathons Play sports- played soccer and field hockey in high

school and soccer in college Camp and hike in the woods Visit the beach Most important- spend time with my family and friends

Family Grew up with Dad, Mom, younger sister, and younger

brother

Married my husband Matt in 2004

Family Adopted our kitty, Ellie, in 2006

Family Daughter Maura was born May 3, 2010- my life changed

forever!!
