WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORT

1/27/2014 to 1/31/2014

1. Project Description: The work under this project includes but not limited to the following:

Maintenance of vehicular and pedestrian traffic and maintenance of access to residential and commercial establishments as approved, removal of all existing curbs and gutters within the project and replacement with new granite curbs and concrete gutters, removal of all existing sidewalks and reconstruction with new PCC sidewalks, Building wheel chair ramps and upgrading existing wheel chair ramps to meet ADA requirements.

Upgrading street lighting, modifying traffic signals at intersections of Sargent Road and Varnum Street, planting new trees and removing selected trees, removing selected Fire Hydrants and installing new Fire Hydrants, building Water Quality basins, manholes, and storm water system, milling existing asphalt surface course and paving with new super-pave surface course.

Repairing existing PCC pavements and overlaying with asphalt for section, removing and reconstructing existing bus pads, Installing permanent signs and pavement markings, reconstructing existing PCC pavement at intersection of Eastern Avenue with Varnum Street. Constructing new retaining wall and Coping along Eastern Ave at locations shown on plans, reconstructing 8” water line and service pipe on south side of Eastern Ave from Sargent Road N.E. to Cul-De-Sac.

Progress Summary: Sargent Road to Cul-De-Sac (Section A) 90% of the work has been completed Michigan Ave to Randolph Street (Section B) 70% of the work has been completed January 27, 2014 Monday No field work January 28, 2014 Tuesday No construction work January 29, 2014 Wednesday Mc Dean to install ground rod in manhole#13- manhole#14 January 30, 2014 Thursday Metro Paving to install 5’-0’’ feet of 4’’ conduit to service wood pole#L85 Mc Dean to install ground rod in manhole15, 20, 47; rack the cable, install jet line. DDOT technician to install cable to Traffic Signal controller TC-1 January 31, 2014 Friday

Metro Paving (no field work) DDOT technician to continue to pull cable to the traffic signal controller to make Connection to the traffic signal cabinet. Mc Dean to ground manhole at the intersection of Eastern Avenue & Varnum Splice and rack electrical manhole in-prep.for inspection manhole 46, 48, 17, 18, 19. To ground splice, rack, electrical manhole at the intersection Eastern & Sargeant Mo1, 2, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43.

4. RFI’s: RFI No. 11 On October 22, 2013, Metro Paving requested information concerning the Color Scheme, Font Size, and Picture Size for the Neighborhood Watch Sign, Tree City USA Sign, and the Welcome to Washington Sign. DDOT provided color photos of existing signs, as response to RFI no.11.
