Peer Support

During Term 2, year 6 students

have been working with the

remainder of primary in the

Peer Support Program.

Let it Grow: Recently, as part of the integrated unit "Let it Grow", the Year 1/2 classes have been learning

about vegetables. We looked at a wide range of vegetables and thought about whether each

was the flower, stem, root or leaf.

Some were tricky because they were made from more than one part of the plant. Did you

know lots of plants we call vegetables are actually fruit because they contain seeds? We

marveled at the way God made the veggies, and talked about

the way He provides food for us through different plants.

Children then designed and made "veggie faces" that would encourage children to eat more

vegetables. Their efforts were imagina-ve and crea-ve, and they gave each other

affirma-ons as they viewed the 'gallery' of veggie plates. The children had great ideas about

what they would do differently next -me, including making different shaped crea-ons, or

making a "fruit faces". Why not try making a "veggie face" at home? Mrs Dee Lile

Year 9 Students:

Year 9 students have par-cipated in some prepara-on ac-vi-es before heading off on the Larapinta

distance from Buffalo Creek to Nightcliff Pool. Please pray for our students, staff and parents who are

a5ending the trip from 9 June to 21st June—Mrs Emily Shea

Middle School Informa0on Night:

Sean W Smith On Friday, primary school students had

an awesome -me with Sean W Smith.

It was great to see how everyone was up

on their feet, singing and dancing with

Sean. Sean also ministered to the

children using great biblical principles of how to be faithful to God.

Parents, please don't forget to

download the free App that Sean

has given access to, so your

children can con-nue to enjoy

listening to his songs.

Thank you Sean!

PARRS Soccer Gala: 21 Year 5 and Year 6 students competed at Gray oval in the PARRS

soccer gala day. I was so proud to see these students play as a team,

encouraging each other, and play compe**ve fair soccer. These

students showed great sportsmanship and also great drive to do their

very best. Both teams finished the day with 2 wins and 1 loss each. I

was very blessed to again have Marcus Forsyth on board to help me

coach and was very grateful for the assistance of my 'soccer mums'

Dewi Lawton and Donnee Spencer. What a fantas*c day!

Mrs Danielle Jessup

Middle School AFL Sessions:

Year 9’s have enjoyed 3 weeks of a 4 week AFL program with Jaxon from AFL NT. They have

learned and developed basic AFL skills including kicking and handballing. They have also

learned some AFL refereeing skills including bouncing the ball and a backward toss.
