Frameworks of Interpretation The above is an example of a film that divided critics and audiences; showing that we all view films differently. We can view films differently because of our ‘frameworks of interpretation’. A film audience is made up of individuals who all read and interpret films differently from each other. What makes us individuals is a range of things that could be considered our frameworks of interpretation . Factors such as age, class, ethnicity, education and past experiences will all have some bearing on the way people read and interpret a film. Do you agree?

The above is an example of a film that divided critics and audiences; showing that we all view films differently. We can view films differently because of our ‘frameworks of interpretation’.

A film audience is made up of individuals who all read and interpret films

differently from each other.

What makes us individuals is a range of things that could be considered our

frameworks of interpretation.

Factors such as age, class, ethnicity, education and past experiences will all have some bearing on the way people read and interpret a film.
