Scientific and manufacturing firm "Prodecologia" was founded in July 1993. During its existence, the company has become a leader in the CIS and Eastern Europe in the field of designing and manufacturing of magnetic, electrostatic, eddy current separators, metal detectors and magnetic mud clarifiers.

Destination
Intended for dry high-efficiency separation of materials, that differ in electric properties:
mixtures of plastics and metals on the pure assorted components, including shredded cables on metal (copper, aluminium) and non-conducting material (rubber, PVC and others);
mixtures of plastics (rubbers), under condition that one of the components has conducting characteristics;
WEEE (including PCB’s) on metal (aluminium, copper, nickel, bronze and other) and non-conducting material (plastic, including fiberglass, rubber),
enriching of drough concentrates of ores of rare and precious metals (titan-zirconia, tantalum-niobic, tin-tungsten, monazite).

The product is separated into the components, depending on electroconductivity in the combined field of corona discharge with the electrostatic field.
The initial product is fed on the receiving electrode (drum), which rotates and is under a positive potential.
In interelectrode space all particles are charged with negative ions of air. Conductive particles going out from the zone of corona digit, are recharged, accept the sign of charge of receiving electrode and are pushed off from it.
Deflecting electrode, having the same potential as corona electrode, creates an uneven field, assists an earlier deviation of conductive fraction from receiving electrode and increasing the efficiency of the separation on the conducting and non-conducting products. Non-conductive particles having negative charge are held on the drum and are removed by cleaning roller.

Principle of function
Two-component mixture of polymers (pre-chopped, dried and classified) is fed into the hopper, then the product falls into a special trybocharge device.
In tribocharge device particles of polymers mix, due to the numerous encounters with each other and the walls of the device get positive and negative charges and then sorted out by electrostatic field on the drum separator.
In accordance to the sign of charge, particles are attracted either to the receiving electrode (rotating drum) or to the static electrode connected to the high tension feed source.
Designed for dry separation* of polymer mixture (РЕТ + РVC, PVC + PE, PVC + rubber, PVC + glass, PS + PP, PS + PE, PP + PE, PS + ABS, PS + SAN, ABS + SAN, ABS + РVC, PA + POM + PVC) by their electrical properties.
* Under condition indoors with temperatures between 5 and 40°C, with humidity 40% and moisture content of the product no more than 0,5%.
