We offer various tests primarily on welding, joining and metallurgy as well as failure and damage investigation, material surveys, fabrication and processing of welding specimens, along with welding and joining studies, welding training support for qualification of JIS welder certification based on personnel, equipment and know-how nurtured at the Kobe Steel Group. MIG spot welding technology for titanium made it possible to perform work on site.
* Patent pending for the "Arc Spot Welding Torch", the outcome of our study, with Nakabohtec Corrosion Protecting Co., Ltd.
* This study is a joint research conducted with the Material and Engineering Division of Kobe Steel, Ltd.
CMT power supply is used and a welding torch for site work was developed to bring site spot welding for titanium plates, performed with low heat input and without any burn through, into practical implementation.
A welding technology using a steel strip �ller metal was developed to perform highly e�cient welding using laser on thick plates with plate thickness of 50 mm or more. The e�ciency that is 8 times TIG welding and twice the MAG welding was achieved.
