Small companies can be great for learning opportunities and variety in your role. But you might find yourself being micromanaged by a bossy company owner, or taking on more work than you can handle.

Try to match your working style with the right company.

Do you really have anything in common?

Perception is a dangerous thing. You’ve got to look beyond the surface to really see if the job on offer is going to be fulfilling. Just because the company or brand is really attractive doesn’t mean the job will be as well.

Is there any chemistry?

Does your dream come with a horrible boss? Are you prepared to spend eight hours a day with them? You can cover your eyes and block your ears, but you’ll have to face them eventually. So make sure there’s some chemistry between you and your potential boss and if not…Save yourself now!
