Children will play with simple, natural toys and materials in a beautiful light-filled classroom and will be guided through the morning by the gentle rhythm of circle time which will reflect the world of nature and seasonal festivals and pro-vide a rich learning experience through music and rhyme. There will be lots of time for creative play, snack (parents sign up once per session to bring, the other days we’ll bake bread and make butter) and we’ll end with a simple puppet-story and closing circle. Simple seasonal crafts will be made 3-4 times per session while the children help or play nearby. Each week there will be handouts to guide our exploration and discussion of early childhood, with topics such as the im-portance of rhythm in our lives, distinguishing temperments, the benefits of playing, childhood development (physical, cognitive, spiritual), simplicity parenting, and more.
