Parent Code of ConductOPHS Lacrosse reserves the right to remove anyone from the stands that does not follow
these simple guidelines. We set the example for our children.
• We pay the coaches big bucks to coach – we really don’t need your help in the stands even if you have never played but have watched games for 2 years.
• Believe it or not, the referees DO know the rules and have a better view of the game than you do 100 yards away from the ball up in the stands. I have yet to see a game stopped by the referees and the call changed on the field due to an astute observation from a fan that decided to share with everyone in the stadium.
• Only positive cheering for opposing players – remember they are 14-18 year old kids that are trying their best and deserve our respect not cat calls or boos.
• If you have nothing positive to say about our team or one of our players then be quiet.
• Be respectful to visiting fans – be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. When on the road, the same applies even though they may not treat us like that. Be the bigger person.
Remember - Everyone wants to beat Oak Park.Let’s make that losing experience a positive one for them.
