1953: Neustart der Lufthansa als Airline

April 1955: Einrichtung der Lufthansa Basis Hamburg als operatives Zentrum

60er Jahre: Technische Versorgung Lufthansa im Focus, mit der B707

beginnt „jet age“

1962: Erster Prüfstand für Jet-Triebwerke, erste Lärmschutzhalle

1968: die B737, der „Bobby“, wird bei Lufthansa als launching customer in

Dienst gestellt

1970: die B747, der „Jumbo”, wird bei Lufthansa in Dienst gestellt

1995: Ausgründung von Lufthansa Technik als Aktiengesellschaft

Jürgen Weber wird neuer Vorstandsvorsitzender der Lufthansa und startet das

Programm „ABBAU/UMBAU/AUFBAU“.

Im Zuge der Neustrukturierung des Konzern wird Lufthansa Technik als

Aktiengesellschaft ausgegründet.

Kernauftrag ist die Professionalisierung des MRO-Geschäftes verbunden mit einem

deutlichen Wachstumsauftrag außerhalb der Konzerngrenzen

Lufthansa steht Anfang der 90er Jahre am Rande der Insolvenz
