Schoology: End-of-Year Suggestions and Summer Access for Content Development
Until the PowerSchool sections for S1 are unlocked the week before school starts, your PowerSchool-created Schoology courses will not be accessible. You can however quickly make generic courses in Schoology that can be used to create assignments, quizzes and other resources. Once your PowerSchool-created sections are active, you can easily import your work into them. Please check out the video above to see how that can be done.
Linked Sections: with our enterprise edition of Schoology we have a nice feature called Linked Sections. For next school year you may be interested in linking your courses together. If you teach multiple sections of the same course and grade level, then this feature will allow you to create materials and setup the gradebook once and it copies automatically to the linked courses for the entire school year. Sway & Play Sway is a new tool from Microsoft for creating presentations that are viewable on any device with Internet access. Teachers, staff, and students can find Sway tile waiting for us to use in our Office 365 portal http://portal.office.com.
Sway makes it quick and easy to create and share interactive presentations. Easy drag-and-drop features let you add content and go from start to finish in minutes. Sway is a great tool for collaboration and communication. It is efficient, effective and fun to use. It can give teachers and students a way to create projects and demonstrate learning. Sway gives you a unique web URL for easy sharing and viewing the presentation. You can include interactive content such as photos, videos, charts, documents, and maps. Sway can be used to create presentations, newsletters, reports, and storytelling.
