CIDC – Activities: CIDC-UNECE Centre of Excellence for PPP Projects in Roads and Highways launches next round of Case Study Oriented Set of Six Courses for PPPs in Roads & Highways between January’ 2016 to April’ 2016 (Based on UN recommended curriculum):
Centre of Excellence jointly with CIDC is launching a series of Training Programs for middle level executives of all stakeholder organisations involved in PPPs.

Details have been put up on CIDC website at http://www.cidc.in/new/ppps.html. First round of Module 1 to 6 has been successfully conducted between 25th May’2015 to 3rd August’2015 in which delegates from Niti Aayog, UP State Govt. Deptt., banks, PSUs, PWD Karnataka, Industry and academia actively participated.
Airport Authority Training
The second batch of 160 students have successfully completed their training in different categories under the “Project for Employment Oriented Training and Skill Development Programme for SC/ST/OBC/Women & EWS of Society for 1000 Persons under Airports Authority of India CSR Initiative”.
CIDC – Activities: Registration of Professional Engineers, Associate Professional Engineers and Student
Engineers, by Engineering Council of India, jointly with its Member Associations
Engineering Council of India, has initiated the Registration of Professional Engineers, Associate Professional Engineers and Student Engineers, jointly with the Member Associations on a voluntary basis, in a ‘National Register of Professional Engineers’ for each branch of en gineering. For Construction Sector, CIDC has been nominated as the coordinating Body.
1. Fee: The initial registration fee will be Rs. 3000 for PE, Rs. 2000 for APE, Rs 1000 for SE. Fee will
be 50% for those registering till March 31, 2016 . A special concessional fee of Rs. 1000 will be applicable for those applying for PE under ‘Grandfather’ category till March 31, 2016. The fee structure is subject to change in future. The registration is subject to renewal after 5 years.
2. Approaching Client/employer organisations: ECI and Member Associations would inform public bodies of central and state governments and local bodies regarding the National Registers of PEs/APEs and advise them to consider the registered PEs/APEs for enrolment on their Panels as well as for various jobs/assignments.
3. Benefits of Registration to engineers: (i) Better credibility and possibility to make use of the branding of ECI and concerned
Member Associations, as the names would be listed on the website (ii) Can use the Certificate of Registration as PE in the National Register as a part of CV, and (iii) Better prospects for assignments/jobs after this is publicised to client/employer
organisations.
4. Criteria for registering:- i) Has a Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering / Technology from a recognized university / institution
or equivalent qualification as approved by the All India Technical Education / Government of
India,
a) For PE- Has relevant working experience of at least 7 years as an engineer, of which at least 2
years is in a responsible position of significant engineering activity.
b) For APE-4 years and 2 years respectively.
c) For Student Engineer- should be an undergraduate student of a bonafide technical college/
university.
Special Provision for holders of Diploma or B Voc degree in Engineering Subjects: They can be registered as PE or APE, if they hold or have held the position as Assistant Engineer or above in Construction/Projects/Plants, with 5 years’ additional experience over and above that specified for Engineering Degree holders. CIDC – Activities:
Under TNSDM (Phase 2nd) training program 3000 candidates to be trained across the state of Tamilnadu. As on date 144 No of candidates have been trained and 332 nos. candidates are undergoing training in Thanjavur, Thiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, & Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu.
Under CIDC-PFC (Phase-III) program 1462 candidates have been trained, from them 1124 number of
candidates have been placed.
Under CIDC-RECL program 925 candidates have been trained, from them 617 have been placed.
Under CIDC–Engineers India Limited (EIL) program 250 candidates have been successfully trained in
different trades at our Sidhauli, Reusa , Ramshapur & Ghaziabad training centres. From them 201 nos.
of candidates have been placed.
Under BMVM training program 1280 candidates to be trained across the state of Bihar. As on date 80 candidates have been trained and 160 candidates are under training in different districts of Bihar.

Teerthanker Mahaveer University:
CIDC along with Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad is offering Bachelor of Vocation (B. Voc) program for the construction sector with following specializations:
1. Building construction. 2. Roads & Highway construction. 3. Water proofing & construction Chemical application. 4. Operation & maintenance of construction equipment. 5. Trenchless technology applications. 6. Construction Project management. 7. Building Maintenance
The curriculum/program (under UGC guidelines) is being offered for the courses are designed in a manner that enables the students at each year achieve a minimum level as per the NSQF. This ensures vertical mobility for the students having 10+2 qualifications and provides them vocational skills. The corresponding NSQF levels gained at each year also provides them multiple exits to the program delivering a qualification enhancement at each stage.
The next session (1601 batch) of CIDC-TMU B.Voc. Program is starting from 1st March 2016.
Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) With Singhania University on national level is proposed to start from March2016.
