CIDC – Activities: Airports Authority of India:
The last leg of the training is being held at Gorakhpur & Ramshapur (UP), Ramgarh (Rajasthan), Kalote (Maharashtra), Chapguri (Assam), & Daltonganj (Jharkhand) centres.
Over 650+ candidates have completed training and have moved on for jobs with reputed construction companies. Students have also opted for self-employment and some have joined higher education courses.
CIDC is working closely with project organizations to include the compulsory clause on deployment of Tested & Certified construction workers on their sites. While CPWD, MES, many state PWDs, have already incorporated such a clause, there is growing awareness amongst private entities to adopt this best practice.
The AAI project and other similar initiatives are a step in the direction of increasing the supply of trained manpower for the Indian Construction Industry.
The project has rolled out seamlessly and we aim to complete the same within the stipulated time period of 8 months.
