Vielen Dank dass Sie sich für ein Produkt derKUFATEC GmbH entschieden haben.

Beachten Sie unbedingt, dass der Einbau nur in Fahrzeugen mit 12V Batterie erfolgen darf. Insbesondere LKW, Geländewagen und gewerblich genutzte Dieselfahrzeuge einschließlich Taxen verfügen häufig über 24V Batterien. In diesen Fahrzeugen ist kein Einbau möglich.

Bevor mit der Installation begonnen werden kann, ist dem Fahrzeug die elektrische Bordnetzspannung zu entziehen. Es empfiehlt sich weitere fünf Minuten zu warten, bevor mit der Installation begonnen werden kann.

Bei der Montage ist darauf zu achten, dass keine für die Sicherheit oder Funktionsfähigkeit des Fahrzeuges relevanten vorhandenen Bauteile beeinträgtigt oder beschädigt werden.

Dieses Interface darf nur in Kombination mit den nachfolgend genannten Fahrzeugtypen und Modellreihen verwendet werden; der Einbau darf ausschließlich unter Verwendung der in der Anleitung genannten Anschlüsse erfolgen.Für Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Montage, die Verwendung ungeeigneter Anschlüsse oder eine Montage in nicht vorgesehene Fahrzeugtypen und -modelle entstehen, übernimmt die Kufatec GmbH keine Haftung.

Wir weisen Sie darauf hin, dass das Heckklappenmodul die im Folgenden beschriebenen Daten aus dem CAN-Proto-koll des Kraftfahrzeugs verarbeitet. Bei dem Einbau des Interface wird daher auf ein modellspezifisches Gesamtsystem zugegriffen, das uns als Hersteller der genannten Baugruppe nur zum Teil bekannt ist.

Vor allem bei Änderungen innerhalb derselben Modellreihe und desselben Modelljahres kann deshalb die Verwend-barkeit unserer Baugruppe nicht in jedem Fall gewährleistet werden. Für eine Verwendbarkeit unserer Baugruppe mit herstellerseitigen Änderungen übernimmt die Kufatec GmbH daher keine Haftung.

Die Kufatec GmbH übernimmt keine Gewähr dafür, dass der Einbau des hier beschriebenen Bauteils nach den Garan-tiebestimmungen einzelner Fahrzeughersteller zugelassen ist. Bitte beachten Sie deshalb vor dem Einbau die Einbau-richtlinien und Garantiebedingungen Ihres Fahrzeugherstellers.

Der Hersteller behält sich vor, das Interface ohne Angaben von Gründen zu ändern.

ACHTUNG: Ihre Aufmerksamkeit ist erstrangig dem Straßenverkehr zu widmen. Eine Bedienung des Telefons sollte nur erfolgen, wenn es die Verkehrs-, Wetter- undStrassenverhältnisse es erlauben. Wählen Sie die Telefonlautstärke so, dass Sie jederzeit akustische Warnsignale (Feuerwehr, Polizei) warnehmen können.

Aus Gründen einer stabilen Kommunikation ist auf folgende Installationsreihenfolge zu achten: Fahrzeug FISCON Multimedia (IMA, TV-Freischalter)

Systemtest - CodierungVor der Installation ist zu prüfen, ob das Telefonsystem des Fahrzeuges aktiviert ist. Dazu betätigen Sie bitte die Menütaste der Lenkradfern-bedienung so lange bis Sie die Funktionsliste vollständig durchsuchthaben. Falls der Menüpunkt „Kein Telefon“ erscheint, ist das Telefonsystemaktiviert. Sie können umgehend mit der Installation beginnen.

Verbindung zum Diagnoserechner Herstellen + Zündung einschalten

Falls dieser Menüpunkt nicht erscheint, ist das Telefonsystem mittels Diagnosesoftware zu aktivieren. Dazu bitte einen Mercedes Partner bzw. eine Fachwerkstatt mit Diagnosesoftware aufsuchen. Folgende Schritte sind zurAktivierung durchzuführen:

Demontieren Sie bitte die mittleren Lüftungsdüsen. Diese haben an beiden Seiten eine Bohrung (Bild 1) zumeinhängen eines geeigneten Werkzeuges (Haken). Ziehen Sie die Lüftrungsdüsen an beiden Seiten aus IhrerFassung (Bild 2) - mit angemessener Kraft ziehen.

Lösen Sie die oberen Schrauben der Radioeinheit (Bild 4). Hebeln Sie die Blende der Klimabedieneinheit mit einem geeignetem Plastikkeil (um Beschädigungen zu vermeiden) aus Ihrer Fassung (Bild 5). Lösen Sie die unteren Schrau-ben der Radioeinheit (Bild 6). Die Radioeinheit kann nun entnommen werden.

Lösen Sie die beiden Torx Schrauben, dargestellt in Bild 8, und schieben Sie die Metall-schienen (Bild 9) nach unten. Nun kann die Navigationseinheit heraus gezogen werden.

Als ersten Schritt entfernen Sie bitte den Schalthebel aus seiner Fassung (Bild 10). Entnehmen Sie die Abdeckung der Mittelkonsole. Dazu bitte die Rastnasen aus Bild 11 entriegeln. Danach ziehen Sie bitte den Aschenbecher aus seiner Fassung (Bild 12).

Lösen Sie, wie in Bild 13 dargestellt, die beiden Torx-Schrauben der Klimabedieneinheit. Diese kann nun entnommen werden (Bild 14). Lösen Sie weiterhin die beiden Torx-Schrauben unterhalb der Navigationseinheit (Bild 15) undentnehmen Sie Diese aus Ihrer Fassung.

Entfernen Sie die Blende des Klimabedienteils. Diese ist nur gesteckt und kann nach vorn abgezogen werden (Bild 16). Lösen Sie die beiden Torx Schrauben, dargestellt in Bild 17, und schieben Sie die Metallschienen (Bild 18) nach unten. Nun kann die Navigationseinheit heraus gezogen werden.

Hebeln Sie die Verkleidung der Lüftungsdüsen mittels geeignetem Werkzeug (Plastikkeil) aus Ihrer Fassung (Bild 19).Lösen Sie die Schrauben unterhalb der Lüftungsdüsen und entnehmen Sie diese.

Lösen Sie die Schrauben der oberen Blende (W203). Hebeln Sie die Blende mit einem geeignetem Werkzeug(Plastikkeil) aus Ihrer Fassung (W209). Entnehmen Sie die Abdeckung der Mittelkonsole. Diese ist nur gesteckt und kann nach oben aus Ihrer Fassung gezogen werden.

Entriegeln Sie die Ratsnasen vom Aschenbecher (Bild 24) und entnehmen Sie diesen. Lösen Sie beide Schrauben unterhalb des Klimabedienteils (Bild 25). Lösen Sie die Schrauben der Radionavigationseinheit und entnehmen Sie diese.

InstallationshinweiseDer Plug & Play Anschluss des Kabelsatzes erfolgt an der Rückseite der Head Unit (Abbildung 1).Entriegeln Sie die originale Steckverbindung und integrieren Sie den gelieferten Kabelsatz zwischen der jeweiligen Radio- Navigationseinheit und dem Stecker vom Fahrzeug kommend.

Der Mikrofonanschluss ist über die A-Säule in Richtung Sonnenschutzblende zu verlegen.HINWEIS: Aus Gründen der Sprachqualität darf das Mikrophon nicht versteckt in der Innenleuchte positioniert werden.

ACHTUNG: Verfügt das Fahrzeug über Airbags an der A-Säule ist aus Sicherheitsgründen darauf zu achten, dass die Mikrofonleitung HINTER dem Airbag und nicht auf Spannung verlegt wird.

Weiterhin verlegen Sie die Steckverbindung zum FISCON Interface in Richtung Handschuhfach. Sorgen Sie für eine geeignete, leicht zugängliche (bezüglich Updates) Positionierung des Interface imFahrzeuginnenraum.

ACHTUNG: Verfügt die Quadlock Steckverbindung des Fahrzeuges über einen LWL-Stecker istdieser ebenfalls in den gelieferten Adapter einzubinden.

Installationshinweise

Alle notwendigen Anschlüsse werden am AUDIO GATEWAY des jeweiligen Fahrzeuges vorgenommen. Das Audio Gateway befindet sich in abhängigkeit vom Fahrzeug an unterschiedlichen Verbauorten.

Verbauort E - Klasse (W 211), CLS - KLasse (W 219)Das Audio Gateway bei der Mercedes E-Klasse (W 211) bzw. CLS-Klasse (W 219) befindet sich im Kofferaum hinter der linken Seitenverkleidung.

Entnehmen Sie den in Abbildung 14 dargestellten Stecker aus dem Audio Gateway. Betätigen Sie dieVerriegelung (Bild 42) und entfernen Sie den 4-poligen Stecker aus dem Gehäuse.Entfernen Sie die in Bild 43 gekennzeichnete Braun/Rote Leitung aus PIN 2 und stecken diese in PIN 1 desmitgelieferten 2-poligen Steckers (Bild 16).

Entfernen Sie weiterhin die Braune Leitung aus PIN 4 und stecken diese in PIN 2 des mitgelieferten 2-poligenSteckers (Bild 45). Jetzt ist der 2-polige Stecker (MQS Stift) vom Kabelsatz kommend mit dem soeben entstandenen 2-poligen Buchsengehäuse aus Bild 45 zu verbinden (Bild 46). Die Schwarz/Weisse Leitung (Doppelcrimp) vomgelieferten Kabelsatz kommend ist in den soeben freigewordenen Steckplatz PIN 2 einzupinnen (Bild 47). Die Schwarz/Gelbe Leitung (Doppelcrimp) ist in den Steckplatz PIN 4 einzupinnen (Bild 47). Der 4-polige Stecker kann wieder an seinen Ursprung positioniert werden.

Installationshinweise

Entfernen Sie den Stecker für die Lautsprecher aus dem AGW und verbinden diesen mit Stecker D. Stecken SieStecker A in das AGW. Entfernen Sie den Strom Stecker aus dem AGW und verbinden diesen mit Stecker C. Stecken Sie Stecker B in das AGW.

TELEFONBUCH Zugriff auf das Telefonbuch des Mobiltelefons.Hinweis: Nicht jedes Mobiltelefon unterstützt die Telefonbuchsynchronisation. Die Synchronisation kann bei einer großen Anzahl an Rufnummern eine gewisse Zeit in Anspruch nehmen. Vermeiden Sie Unterbrechungen während dem Synchronisationsvorgang. Die Telefonbuchfunktion derFreisprecheinrichtung ist auf 1000 Einträge begrenzt.

GEW. NUMMERN Falls vom Telefon unterstützt, können Sie über diesen Menüpunkt eine Telefonnummer wählen, welche Sie zuvor angerufen haben.

ANGEN. ANRUFE Falls vom Telefon unterstützt, können Sie über diesen Menüpunkt eine Telefonnummer wählen, welche Sie zuvor angerufen hat und der Anruf auch entgegengenommen wurde.

ANRUFE IN ABW. Falls vom Telefon unterstützt, können Sie über diesen Menüpunkt eine Telefonnummer wählen, welche Sie angerufen hat, der Anruf aber nicht entgegengenommen wurde.

DIREKTWAHL Über diesen Menüpunkt können Sie eine DIREKTEINGABE (Ziffern 0-9) vornehmen und diese Telefonnummer anrufen.

A2DP Falls vom Telefon unterstützt, erfolgt über diesen Menüpunkt der Zugriff auf die im Mobiltelefon gespeicherten Musikdateien. Über MFL bzw. FIS/MFA-Wippe erfolgt die jeweilge Titelauswahl (TRACK VOR, TRACK ZURÜCK). Über den Menüpunkt A2DP BEENDEN wird die Wiedergabe der im Mobiltelefon gespeicherten Musikdateien beendet.

SMS Falls vom Telefon unterstützt, erfolgt über den Menüpunkt SMS der Zugriff auf GELESENE, UN-GELESENE, GESENDETE, sowie UNGESENDETE Kurznachrichten. Sie haben die Möglichkeit empfangene SMS zu LESEN, die Nummer des Absenders ANZURUFEN oder vorgefertigte SMS zu SENDEN.

EINSTELLUNGEN Unter diesem Menüpunkt können grundlegende Einstellungen der FSE vorgenommen werden - Microphonverstärkung, Lautstärkeregelung für A2DP/ Klingelton/ Gesprächspartner,SW-Updates durchführen, Werkseinstellung wiederherstellen

FISCON Setup per Mobiltelefon Weiterhin besteht die Möglichkeit Interface - Einstellungen mittels Mobiltelefon vorzunehmen.Vorraussetzung dafür ist, dass das Mobiltelefon die Rufnummernübertragung unterstützt.

• Bitte stellen Sie wie gewohnt eine Bluetoothverbindung zwischen Telefon und FISCON Anlage her.

Sollte Ihr Mobiltelefon nicht über diese Funktion verfügen, ist ein Telefon zu verwenden welches die Rufnummernübertragung unterstützt.

Bedienungshinweise

Sobald die Installation sowie Codierung durchgeführt und das FSE Interface verbunden ist, kann die erste Kopplung zwischen Mobiltelefon und Fahrzeug vorgenommen werden.

Anlernen1. Schalten Sie die Zündung ein.2. Aktivieren Sie an Ihrem Mobiltelefon die Bluetooth Funktion.3. Suchen Sie mittels Mobiltelefon nach neuen Bluetooth Geräten.4. Sobald die FSE gefunden wurde wählen Sie diese bitte aus und starten den Pairing Vorgang.5. Passworteingabe am Mobiltelefon - 1234.

Es besteht die Möglichkeit bis zu 5 Mobiltelefone zu hinterlegen.Im Fall eines sechsten zu hinterlegenden Telefons sind die Werkseinstellungen zurückzusetzen. Wird die Werkseinstellung aktiviert, werden sämtliche vorher angelernte Telefone gelöscht.HINWEIS: Bei Aktivierung der Werkseinstellung darf keine Bluetoothverbindung mit dem FISCON System bestehen.

Hinweis: Nach erfolgter Kooplung erfolgt die Telefonbuchsynchronisation. Dies kann bei einer großen Anzahl an Rufnummern eine gewisse Zeit in Anspruch nehmen. Vermeiden Sie Unterbrechungen während dem Synchronisationsvorgang.Nach Abschluss des Anlernvorganges erscheint die Telefonoberfläche im Tachodisplay. Sie haben dieMöglichkeit mittels MFL die jeweiligen Menüpunkte der Freisprecheinrichtung auszuwählen.

Eingehende AnrufeEin eingehender Anruf bewirkt folgende Systemreaktion:1. Aktivierung der Stummschaltung - Der Klingelton des Mobiltelefons wird generiert.2. Anzeige des Anrufers mit Namen (Falls vom Telefon unterstützt). Bei nicht hinterlegtem Namen erfolgt eine Anzeige der Rufnummer.

Anruf annehmen, beendenAuswahl der Funktion ANNEHMEN/ ABLEHNEN mittels Tasten am MFL.Möchten Sie das Gespräch beenden betätigen Sie bitte die jeweilige Auflegen Taste.

1. Wählen Sie mittels MFL die Menüpunkte A2PD A2PD STARTEN und bestätigen Sie die Auswahl.2. Durch Auswahl der Menüpunkte TRACK VOR/ TRACK ZURÜCK erfolgt die Titelauswahl.3. Über den Menüpunkt A2DP BEENDEN wird die Wiedergabe der Musikdateien beendet.

System check - CodingBefore starting installation you need to check whether the phone system of the vehicle is activated or not. Please scroll the menu button around all functions.In case the menu „No Phone“ will appear the telephone system isactivated. You can immediately start with the installation.

Connect to the diagnostic computer + turn the ignition on

In case the menu will not appear you need to activate the telephone system by using diagnostic software. Please contact a Mercedes dealer or another workshop with diagnostic software. Please complete the instruction belowstep by step:

Please remove the center vent first. These have got a whole on both sides (image 1) in order to put a suitable tool (Hook). Pull the vent on both sites out of the lock (image 2).

Loose the crews shown on image 4. Please remove the cover of the climate control by using suitable tools (plastic) in order to avoid damages (image 5). Loose the screws shown on image 6 and remove the head unit.

Installation instructionWith a plug & play connection you will complete the fitting of the hands free kit. Please see scheme below. Unlock the connection and put the delivered wiring between the head unit and the connector coming from the vehicle.

Wire the loom for the interface connection towards the glove box. Find a suitable location for the interface box within the vehicle. Make sure you will reach the interface at any time (regarding to software updates).

ATTENTION: Please check whether the Quad-lock connector of the vehicle does have a fibre optical connector or not. You need to remove the optical wire and put it into the delivered adapter.

The connector for the microphone has to be wired along the A-column towards the sun shield.NOTE: Regarding to the voice quality do not fit the microphone covered inside the interior light.

ATTENTION: Does the vehicle have airbags fitted along the A-column it is essential to wire the loom for the microphone BEHIND the airbag. Wire the loom without putting tension on it.

All necessary connections have to be done at the AUDIO GATEWAY of the vehicle. The Audio Gateway is located on different locations within the vehicle.

Location E (W 211), CLS (W 219)The Audio Gateway is located in the trunk on the left hand side behind the cover.

Remove the connector out of the Audi Gateway shown on image 42. Remove the housing of the 4-pole connector by pushing the lock using a small screwdriver.Remove the Brown/Red cable PIN 2 (image 43) and put it into PIN 1 of the 2-pole connector we delivered (image 44).

Furthermore remove the Brown cable PIN 4 and put it into PIN 2 of the 2-pole connector we delivered (image 45). Now the 2-pole connector (male) coming from the delivered wiring has to be plugged together with the 2-poleconnector just created (image 46). The Black/White cable (double-crimp) coming from the delivered wiring has to be plugged into PIN 2 where the Brown/Red cable was located before (image 47). The Black/Yellow cable (double-crimp) coming from the delivered wiring has to be plugged into PIN 4 (image 47). The 4-pole connector has to placed back to it‘s source.

Installation instruction

Please remove the connector for the speakers out of the gateway and put it together with connector D. Put connector A into the gateway. Remove the power connector out of the gateway and put it together with connector C. Put con-nector B into the gateway.

Fiscon MenuDIS Description

PHONEBOOK Access to the phonebook of the mobile phone.The phonebook feature is not supported by all mobile phones. Does your mobile phone support the phonebook feature you will have access to the phonebook. Phonebooks that have a large number of entries can take quite a long time to synchronise. Please avoid cancelations during synchronisation.The phonebook feature is limited to 1000 phonebook entries.

DIALLED NUMBERS By choosing the menu DIALLED NUMBERS you are able to select these telephone numbers you dialled before (if supported from mobile phone).

ACCEPTED CALLS By choosing the menu ACCEPTED CALLS you are able to select these telephone numbersyou accepted before (if supported from mobile phone).

MISSED CALLS By choosing the menu MISSED CALLS you are able to select these telephone numbers which tried to call you but you didn‘t accept (if supported from mobile phone).

DIRECT DIAL You can use the multifunctional display and enter numbers by stalk or MFSW for dialling (0-9).

A2DP By choosing the menu START A2DP the system will have access to the music files stored on the mobile phone (if supported from mobile phone). By using the MFSW as well as the wiper stalk you can select the single tracks (NEXT TRACK, PREVIOUS TRACK). By choosing the menu STOP A2DP the music playback will be stopped.

SMS By choosing the menu SMS you will have access to READ, UNREAD, SENT as well as UNSEND short messages (if supported from mobile phone). You will have the possibility to READ SMS,to DIAL the number of the sender as well as to SEND ready made SMS.

SETUP By choosing the menu SETUP you are able to set general settings of the hands free kit. -Microphone, Volume regarding to A2DP/ Ringtone/ Caller, SW-Updates, Factory settings.

Operating instruction

Once the installation as well as the coding has been finished and the interface is connected the bluetooth pairing process between mobile phone and vehicle can be started.

Pairing1. Turn the ignition on.2. Make sure the Bluetooth feature of your phone is turned on.3. Start the pairing procedure on your mobile phone.4. When prompted for a passkey, enter 1234 on your mobile phone.

The following operations need to be done by multifunctional steering wheel.How to operate please see pageS. 10.

Note: After Pairing the phonebook synchronisation will start. Phonebooks that have a large number ofentries can take quite a long time to synchronise. Please avoid cancelations during synchronisation.After pairing the FISCON menu will be displayed on the instrument cluster. You will have the possibility to choose the single options by using the multifunctional steering wheel.

Incoming callsAn incoming call will cause system operations as follows:1. Mute activation - The ring tone of the mobile will be generated.2. Display of the caller name (depends on mobile phone). In case the caller is not stored by name the number will be displayed in the cluster.

Answer a callSelect the option PICK UP/ REJECT by using the MFSW.Would you like to end a call select the option TERMINATE.

Depending on your mobile phone you have got several possibilities to place a call.Placing calls

1.Choose on of the following options by using the MFSW: • DIALLED NUMBERS • ACCEPTED CALLS • MISSED CALLS ... and confirm the selection.2. Select an entry - the call will be placed by confirming.

Call register (if supported from mobile phone).

You may pair up to 5 different mobile phones.In case you would like to pair the sixth mobile phone you need to restore the factory settings. In case ofactivating the factory settings all stored mobile phones get lost.Note: At the time of activating the factory settings you need to cancel any Bluetooth connection to theFISCON system.
