AAA recommends that you inspect the carsyou currently drive and consult your owner’smanual. If your vehicle has a spare, be sure it isproperly inflated and stowed.

If you cannot locate a spare, look for the alter-native, such as an emergency sealant or inflatorkit. It is a good idea to be familiar with thesedevices before you encounter a flat. Knowingyour onboard alternative to a spare and how itworks can help avoid disappointment or delay.

If you carry a sealant, AAA recommends thatyou check the date and replace it every fiveyears or after its use. The sealant can becomeless effective with age.

If you’d prefer not to change or repair the tireyourself–or if you have another type of break-down–remember that you can call AAA for road-side assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at(800) AAA-HELP (222-4357) or use your down-loaded AAA Roadside app.
