AT&T’s Support of NBC’s Olympic Broadcasts

AT&T has been the exclusive telecommunications provider for NBC’s Olympic broadcasts for the last 15 years

AT&T has supported NBC from a network perspective at Olympic games, summer and winter, since the Sydney games in 2000In 2000, all of NBC’s content was broadcast in SD. For the 2010 Games in Vancouver, NBC produced 100 percent of their content in HDNetwork support has changed accordingly: In Sydney, network support consisted of three DS3s – in Vancouver, AT&T provided the bandwidth equivalent of 42 DS3sDS3sAT&T’s fail-safe network provided 100 percent reliability throughout the duration of the Vancouver Olympic gamesNBC broadcast 835 hours of Olympic programming during the Vancouver games, and approximately 625 of those hours were broadcast live
