read aloud two pages from their books on a daily basis. Parents are
requested to monitor .Other than this, children may also be encouraged to
read story books appropriate to their age. Parents may like to provide the

CONCEPT
Ritu travels to school in her big yellow school bus. The bus driver is Raman.
He is a friendly man. The conductor is Suraj. He has a smile for every child.
The school bus has six wheels. The wheels are big and strong. There are two
rows of seats in the bus. Each row has thirty seats. Sixty children can sit in
the bus comfortably.
Thirty children can sit on each row. They get into the bus through the front
door. The children sit quietly. They keep their bags under their seats. They
talk to each other softly.
They know that noise disturbs the driver. They keep sitting till the bus halt at
their stops. They get down at their stops. The conductor helps them get
down from the bus. The driver can see them getting down.
