V House
V House
Architect: Plan B Architects (Felipe Mesa) + Giancarlo Mazzanti
Location: Bogota, Colombia
Constructed in 2008-2009
The V house overlooks the distant view of a wetland as well as to enjoy a native garden.
The V house is nested along a high slope to avoid the volumetric presence in favor of a branched horizontal extension.

V HouseGeometry
Its mainly a structure of glass, flexible and modular that defines the geometric structure.
Transformations occur due to the design process
Branches
Like branches of a tree, the V House falls over the site, and branches into two arms that separate the program into two different heights:
Above: the social arm, bridge, and terrace
Below: to private rooms and services
The main trunk of the building is a library that starts the journey staggered from the house.

Separation
The arms are separated in two ways: the inner courtyard distances them through a native garden, and different heights as stated before.
These two actions allow the ramifications to equally enjoy the distant view of the wetlands.
Parti
The parti of the V house is a series of rectangles.
