To access the PBI system, Aflac employees must be logged in to the Associates portal located at:
Field Associates/Agents must access PBI through the Aflac portal. The Aflac portal is located at:
If you are an Aflac employee and you are attempting to access the PBI system when off-site or
from a remote location such as your home-office, PBI must be accessed via the Aflac portal.
If you are an Aflac employee and you are attempting to access PBI from another Aflac office
location, you will log-on as you would if you were sitting at your desk at your office location.
Aflac local log-in: You may be directed to log into PBI from the Aflac corporate portal, if so you
need to enter your Aflac “E” or “V” username and password when requested. If your Aflac login
does not work, it may have expired. If it does not work, you will need to contact your Aflac
helpdesk support team.

From the PBI access page you can find out all about the PBI system. There is a link to the PBI
Frequently Asked Questions, and the PBI Quick Reference Guide, as well as to other pages of
information about the PBI service and content of the PBI system.
You have three main options from here:
View Pended Business
Change Associate Selection
Administer Reason Code Actions
Once the associate’s writing number is entered, the default view is the PBI Search for a Pended
Application screen shot shown below. In order for the associate to view their associate pended
business applications, the associate must be located within the PBI View Pended Business
AppSearch screen. By default the AppSearch button is highlighted, it is here that the NBS and/or
Field Associate will select Pended Applications to search for a specific pended application or
resolved applications to view all Pended Applications that have been resolved or issued.
2. The PBI Access Page:
PBI has several (seven) search options:
Search by PBI Writing Number of the Agent who submitted the new business
Search by Applicant Social Security Number
Search by Applicant name including partial names
Search by City, state, zip
Search by Account number that the Applicant falls under
Search by transmittal number of the application the business was submitted on
Search by application number
You can enter search terms in any one of the listed search areas.
3. PBI Search Options:
New Business Specialists and Field Associates now have the capability of ordering their New
Business PBI application images and viewing those images at their convenience on their
computers.
These images can be requested and retrieved by:
