• There are many different ways to score goals in soccer no matter which way you score its only worth one (1) point. Also must put the ball completely over the line within the goalposts and under the crossbar, without having made a foul to do so.

• Free Kicks and "Corner Kicks are two types of "set plays" that result in scoring opportunities. Both create good rebound opportunities and free kicks (both direct and indirect) give the opportunity for direct shots on goal (although a player must touch the indirect kick first).

• Penalty Kicks ("PK's") You will not get many chances to score on Penalty Kicks. First, tell your players to stay out of the Penalty Box until after your shot is taken. If they go inside the Box early, you lose the ball and the shot doesn't count.

• There are many ways to score in football. These are five most important ways.

• Touchdown- (when the player has the ball in the end zone) - 6 points.

• Point after the touchdown (PAT, the kicker kicks the ball through the goal post after the touchdown) - 1 point

• 2 point conversion (team decides to try to get into end zone again after a touchdown) - 2 points

• Safety (When a player is tackled in his own end zone or goes out of bounds in his own end zone) - 2 points

• Field goal (kicker kicks the ball through goal post) - 3 points

SOCCER’S CONNECTION TO TURKEY

The European world views their superstar players as Gods and mystical type creatures with special powers. These players carry the burden of a nation on their shoulders every time they step out on the field. The fans take wins and loses extremely hard going as far as to threating players and their families for letting their country down. These players learn at an early age to prefect their crafts and to learn the value of teamwork. The lessons they learn helps to carry them to another level of superstardom.

CONNECTION TO COUNTRY CONT.American players aren’t looked at as Gods or mystical type creatures. Many superstars are viewed as grown men that act like babies and children. Many American players think they are entitled to get what they want. These players have developed an all about me attitude that have turned many fans off lately. The priority of many American players is all about how much money they have so “they can feed their families.” It is less about teammate work and more about how they can get themselves notice during the course of a game.

Owens hired agent Drew Rosenhaus in April and announced he was not happy with his contract. He also tells CNBC that, despite making $7.5 million in 2004, he needs a new contract to “feed his family.”.
