• It is recommended to stick laminate while keeping the substrate horizontally. We will not be

responsible for any problems if sheets are pasted vertically.

HPL Thickness Tolerance: As per IS 2046

Warranty: SUNDEK warrants that its products are free from manufacturing defects and that

they are fit and suitable for usual purpose under normal and proper use. The product must be

inspected thoroughly before its use. Prior to installation and our liability will be limited to the

extent of the cost of product only. The product must be inspected thoroughly before its use. No

claim for the visual defects will be accepted or entertained if the product is cut or altered in any

manner.

Standards:

Care and Maintenance: Wipe clean with ordinary soap or household ammoniated liquid

detergent. Abrasive cleaners and wire brushes are not recommended.

Pre Conditioning: Laminate and substrate should be allowed to acclimate for at least 48 hours

in the same ambient conditions. Optimum conditions for preconditioning are approximately

75°F (24°C) with a relative humidity of 45% to 55%. Provisions should be made for the

circulation of air around the components. Both laminate and the board along with backing

laminate should not be containing more than 5% of moisture at the time of pasting. If the

moisture in the materials is higher, dry them before pasting to avoid delamination, bubbles

and other problems.

Important Note:

• While applying laminate in monsoon, dry the plywood and the laminate with hot air gun

before pasting it. Keep the sandwich under pressure till the glue is dried fully, otherwise

bubbles may appear in the sandwich.

• Samples pasted represent only colour / pattern and finish but not actual thickness.

Grade and Thickness: Decorative Grade: 1.5 mm and 1.0 mm (Other thicknesses available on

request).

Colour / Shade Tolerance: Colour variations within material supplier’s standards.

• While cutting the laminate, make sure that it has no chipping. During the summer, please

ensure that both plywood and laminate have sufficient moisture, otherwise the laminate

may crack.

• In case of special grades like post forming, chalk, marker, exterior facade, compact etc,

please use one sheet initially to verify quality. Proceed with use of entire lot once you are

satisfied. We are not responsible for any claims if entire lot is used simultaneously at a time.

Storage / Handling: High-pressure laminate should be stored horizontally with the top face

down, and a caul board placed on top in order to protect the material from damage and

warping. Laminate should be protected from moisture and from contact with floors or outside

walls. If you have received the laminate in roll form, unroll the laminate immediately on receipt

and store only horizontally.

Fabrication: Cut the laminates with sharp tools and ensure clean and sharp cut without zigzag

edges to avoid cracking of laminates after pasting.
