Examinations are conducted.• During the academic year there is a pattern of ‘continuous assessment’ in
order to evaluate student’s academic performance continuously in acourse.
• Depending upon the programme of continuous assessment is done, givingweightage as described in the Ordinance of the University in the total scoreof a particular course.
• Within six months of declaration of main examination results, asupplementary examination is conducted for those failed students toenable them to clear the arrear paper/subject.
• University follows absolute marking system for evaluation.• The basic structure and content of each academic program is prescribed by
the respective Board of Studies and approved by the Academic Council ofthe University.
• The Projects and Dissertations are evaluated by Boards of Examiners asstated in the Ordinances of the University and by the Regulatory bodies.

VII. Board of Studies
The Composition of Board of Studies as follows:-
(1) There shall be a Board of Studies for each Subject Comprising of :-(a) All the teacher of the concerned subject.(b) Two members to be nominated and co-opted by the Department, from outside
the University, from academic/Industries after approval of Vice-Chancellor froma panel of five persons.
(2) The Head of the Department shall be the Chairman of the Board of Studies provided.(a) That the term of the chairman shall be three years, and after expiration of the
term, the next/senior most Professor/Associate Professor shall be Chairman ifthe term in not extended.
(b) If there are more than one Subject in the department, the senior mostProfessor/Associate Professor shall be the chairman for Board of Studies of thatsubject: in accordance to above (a).
