HEALTH:● the state of being free from illness or
disease.
● a person’s mental or physical condition.

WELLNESS:● a state of well-being.
● the quality of one’s life.
“Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful
existence.”

The choices we make are related to:exercise, nutrition, rest & sleep,stress management, injury, illness,& the uses of drugs.
FITNESS:-- how well your body’s systems work together

AEROBIC CAPACITY:

Key Criteria:● constant motion of arms & legs that
engages lungs and heart.● 3 - 5 times per week.● heart rate must reach 140-180 beats
per minute for 30 minutes.Ideal: (ages 6-17) should have 60 min/day of aerobic exercise.
