It feels as if we are nearing a turning point, a season change in how we operate as a society.
Many of us feel that responsibility whether leading our household, an organization, or a
community. The responsibility of being awake to the metamorphosis of change begins
with ourselves.
In bringing work and school home, we might have missed the opportunities we have been
given to self-regulate and bring balance to our daily lives.
We can agree that these rhythms are crucial to deepening our body of work, but we rarely
take the time to intentionally create this rhythm in our work life. Our ultradian rhythms
unrecognized can lead to burn out and increased stress. We understand the need to nurture
our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy centers even if only from the
experiences when we find ourselves out of balance.
Helping our society find renewal and balance begins with changing the way we do things
as individuals. Everything in our daily rhythm affects our ability to contemplate choices
and make decisions. We must balance the need for contemplation with periods of activity
so that we can begin to recognize and connect with the answers waiting to be uncovered.
Let us begin a new cycle of growth, by showing reverence to our powerful energy centers
through the practice of intermittent renewal.
We might just discover new sources of energy in the very balance we seek.
Be well. Until next time, Ms. Jan.
