Impressionist artists were people who made paintings that caught the Impression of the subject as if you just looked at it for second similar to when you take picture with a camera.

You will now choose an area in the room to catch a glimpse of.Now, look at the area very quickly, and draw what you remember. DO NOT LOOK BACK TO GET MORE DETAILS.

Examples:Do you see a book laying out of place on the book case?Did you see someone with a strange expression on their face?Did you see someone in a strange position because they were moving?


Picture yourself in a noisy place…the cafeteria, Wal Mart, McDonalds, a sports game…..draw what you hear.

Do not draw everything literal, give the sounds shape and color.
