Explain the process for migrating data, including the suggestion about whether a “shut down” period is needed where no users can register or use the current SALMAT system. ?
Data migration and testing of resources is performed in the background, no shutdown period is generally required for the current system. The two sites can operate concurrently until the new TVC site is ready for production launch

Can you merge duplicate accounts – and how is this done
Various methods are available for creating User accounts and enrolling users in TrainingVC courses. A basic CSV bulk user upload will identify duplicate accounts . Duplicate accounts can be merged via the CSV sort function via the CSV bulk upload.

What is the largest number of users one of your clients has on the LMS? Where in the “size spectrum” of your clients would ASADA be with 17,000 user profiles
Over 100 RTO’s host their eLearning services with eWorks TrainingVC platform. These include most of Victoria’s TAFE Institutes including Chisholm Institute with over 25,000 students.

Can we edit the text on the LMS/course descriptions etc
Any user with the correct permissions has editing rights. Course descriptions, landing page information and any course text can be easily editing using the WSYWG editor. Similar to editing a word document, no HTML experience is required.

Multiple options are available for User account and course registration. These can be changed and added at any time.

Moodle can have different themes for each separate category and/ or each separate Course. The landing page for each sport can be set up as their own separately themed Category page.

WCAG compliance – explain how LMS meets this (and the course)
Moodle has developed a WGAG compliant theme called Andro theme. This would be used as the base theme for developing the ASADA theme.
Courses resources can also be developed as WCAG compliant using SCORM packaging

If we wanted to customize the course for a particular sport (mainly only the video’s), is this possible, what are your suggestions, would we be able to do this ourselves or would it involve a cost
Courses are highly customisable and a wide range of resources and activities can be added or embedded including videos. We train you staff how to do this in the start-up process.

Explain how you would optimise the course for accessibility on all learning devices (phone, tablet, PC)
The latest version of Moodle 2.6 has a responsive theme architecture (bootstrap). This means that the page will respond to the device the user is accessing it from and render accordingly.

ASADA has/will collect a large amount of video footage from elite athletes … Explain how best you think this could be used and are there any limitations or issues we should be aware of.
Videos can be stored and streamed from the Alfresco content repository.
Alternatively they can be uploaded to a ASADA Vimeo account and embedded back into the Courses. This is common practice amongst some of our larger Institutional clients.

How do we best position the course knowing that some users will have old computers and slow connections and the video may be an issue to load – while others may have the NBN. Where is the “sweet spot” in terms of usability v modern whizz bang graphics and video
Moodle is designed for low bandwidth. The overuse of rich media resources may be problematic for users with restricted access. This is a reason we recommend considering a ASADA Vimeo account for video resources and embedded back into the Courses.

Tell us how you suggest to best include some form of gamification into the course – or if you recommend against it.
There are Organisations that use interactive games and scenarios to increase engagement with a cohort of learners. These can be developed as a SCORM and easily uploaded into a Moodle Course.
