Explore the
reasons behind the rise
in space
tourism
1) Why do you think a company like Virgin is interested in space tourism?
2) How much do you think a space flight would cost? Explain your answer.
3) What sort of people would be interested in a space flight?
You have the wealth and experience of Richard Branson…
Your task is to design a leaflet advertising your space flight company. You need to:
- persuade people to come on your space flights- include your spaceship design- explores the impacts of this type of tourism- include the information about the flight, what you will see, what you can do…etc.
LEVEL CRITERIA
D Has a simple sketch of the spaceship design, describes what you can see during the trip
C Has a detailed sketch, describes what you can see, begins to describe the positive and negative impacts of this tourism
B Has a very detailed sketch, with a sketch of the interior. Activities and what you can see are described and the positive and negative impacts are explored.
A Two detailed sketches of the spaceship design. The activities and what you can see are described in detail. The positives and negatives of this type of tourism are explored in detail. A comparison of earth vs space tourism is provided.
