Facilities RevisionIf it were my media center, I would…

Page 26: Tomlinc facilitiesplan

Revised Floor PlanHave student computer screens facing circulation desk.

Put a makeshift fire place in comfort zone.

Page 27: Tomlinc facilitiesplan

Additions to Facilities

Faux Fireplace for Comfort Zone- $429.00

Flat Screen Computers-$1,199.99

Page 28: Tomlinc facilitiesplan

My revisions to the current facilities would be:◦ Put new paint on the walls. Make the paint a bit brighter

like red with murals of an window, open doors, and a man and woman raider (school mascot) with a book, reading drawn on the walls.

◦ Add a makeshift fireplace in the Comfort Zone area to have a very homelike feel.

◦ Have ALL of the student computer screens turned to where the media specialist can see the screens from the circulation desk, that way students can be monitored more closely. Students can break through the proxy server and get to sites that are supposed to be blocked.

◦ Get new student computers. (flat screens)

Revisions

Page 29: Tomlinc facilitiesplan

Additions◦ + Charge students for printing. 10 cents a page in

color; 5 cents for a black & white page.◦ + Students caught using cell phones will be asked
