    VistaNET Installation Minimum PC Requirements

    Windows XP, 2000 (SP2+) or NT v4 (SP6a+)

    Pentium III 300MHz e/w 256MB of RAM and 800MB HHD

    RS-232 COM port (or USB 1.1 port)

    VistaNET can be down loaded or installed from a CD(InstallShield simplifies program installation)

    Web install (recommended) will install Microsoft .NET Frameworkversion 1.1 (approx 39 MB)

    CD install contains the .NET framework (a network connection is notrequired)

    Mandatory that VistaNET Beta Release is un installed (ifpreviously installed)

    Recommended that all Critical Windows updates are installed

    86456 -02VLA VistaNET Local Access RTU license. Provides local monitoring

    and configuration capabilities and remote monitoring capabilities.

    Provides two serial COM port connections. Purchased one per node.

    VNI VistaNET Network Interface RTU license. Provides local and

    remote monitoring and configuration capabilities, alarm engine, systemmap and basic inventory through a serial (CI) or IP connection (the

    latter requires IPSU with VSP package or VSA). Pro vides two seri al

    COM port connections. Purchased one per node.

    86456 -03VNI Upgrade package. A one-time charge for cust omers that want to

    upgrade their existi ng JNCI to VNI. Purc hased one per system.

    86456 -04

    VSA VistaNET Server Application RTU license. A PC-based

    Windows service that adds server capabilities to a Service Unit via a

    serial connect ion (an alternative for IPSU). Purchased one per NMSdomain (with a max of 50 nodes).

    86456 -05VistaNET COM Port Expansion RTU license. Provides additio nal COM

    port support (to a maximum of 8) for VNI or VLA. One needed for

    each NMS domain (> 2) managed through a serial connection.

    VCS VistaNET Client Seats RTU license (3 pack). Provides the

    capability to simult aneously run additional 3 VNI clients (the first three

    are provided with a purchase of a VistaNET server). One neededfor every set of (up to) three simultaneous users beyond the first 3.
