BAU and Target of CO2 Emission in Transportation Sector

Target1) Returning to the 2005 level by 2020 and to the 2000

level by 2025. 2) Improving the energy efficiency 2 percent per annum.

BAU and Target of CO2 Emission in Transportation Sector1) The CO2 emission at BAU in 2025 is 45.08 million tons.2) Based on returning to the 2000 level , reducing 11.57

million tons of CO2 emission is necessary.

• Constructing an intelligent transportation system to provide real-time traffic information, and enhance traffic management capabilities.

• Encouraging the use of alternative fuel vehicles. • Raising the fuel efficiency standard for private vehicles by

25% in 2015.• Reviewing and revising standards for road lighting down to

a reasonable level and satisfy with the efficiency of lighting.
