Service Start Date is the date we begin to provide the Service or Equipment to you. We will notify you of this date in advance.

Service Term begins on the Service Start Date and continues for the Term and any Additional Period and then continues on a month to month basis until terminated by either party, giving the other 30 days prior written notice.

(Please note: if you choose to rent equipment for your Telstra IP Telephony service from Telstra, you must have your Telstra IP Telephony service for a minimum of 36 months and rent the equipment and pay the agreed rent to us for a minimum of 36 months).

If you wish to take up any additional Telstra IP Telephony services or rent any additional Equipment during the Term you must apply for that equipment/services using our standard application form. You must take any additional equipment or service for a term which is the same length of time as the Term selected in this application form (“Additional Period”).

Unauthorised access to the Voice Portal

There have been instances of unauthorised access to customers’ Voice Portals in circumstances where customers have reset the Voice Portal password to a password that has low security e.g. Customer 1234.

You acknowledge and agree that:

a. if you reset your Voice Portal password, you will reset it to a password that has high security;

b. you must pay Telstra for all use of the Service, whether or not the use is authorised; and

c. where you have reset a password, you must pay to Telstra any cost or loss that it incurs in connection with unauthorised access to the Service.

service when using a Business Access Services.

You have to choose, obtain and maintain your access service separately. If you change your access service, then such change will be subject to the terms and conditions of that access service (including an early termination charges).

Your account executive can supply you with a list of compatible equipment (on request).

The TIPT Clients include Call Centre Agent client and Call Centre Supervisor client and MiReception.

Limitations of the TIPT Service when used on a Business Access Service or Internet Access Service

By using Telstra IP Telephony service over BAS or IAS, you acknowledge and understand the terms and limitations of having TIPT over BAS or IAS, including that voice quality will be affected at times.

Voice Quality for TIPT Customers using BAS or IAS: You should be aware that temporary interruptions and packet loss may occur from time to time on BAS and IAS, which are subject to variable delay and data throughput rates, and which will directly affect the availability and quality of your Telstra IP Telephony service. You should also be aware that we are not able to prevent these from occurring on your Telstra IP Telephony service when used in conjunction with a Business Access or Internet Access Service and that this may result in call disconnection, corrupt audio or video calls or delayed audio calls.

Maintenance for TIPT Customers using BAS or IAS: While we provide maintenance services for TIPT customers using BAS or IAS, you acknowledge that we cannot provide the same level of service as we provide for TIPT customers using Enterprise Access Services.

We will use all possible care to test and examine your service for faults, however we cannot remedy issues caused by underlying network contention. You acknowledge that we cannot extensively assure your TIPT service and equipment over a Business Access or Internet Access Service.

Concurrent Calls for TIPT Customers using BASor IAS: The maximum number of concurrent calls at Telstra Business Broadband site based on ADSL s is three (3). The maximum number of concurrent calls at a Telstra nbn site is ten (10). The maximum number of concurrent calls available at any site will be determined in part by the capacity of your router or switch.

Features for TIPT Customers using BAS or IAS: For TIPT customers accessing the TIPT service from Business Access or Internet Access Services, the following features are not currently available:

Equipment for TIPT Customers using BAS or IAS: For TIPT customers accessing the TIPT service from Business Access or Internet Access Services, the list of available handset equipment is currently limited to the following:

Polycom VVX601 Polycom VVX501 Polycom VVX411 Polycom VVX301 Polycom VVX201 Polycom VVX101 OneAccess 2 Port IAD OneAccess 8 Port IAD

DECT handsets, Conferencing Phones, and Video Conferencing equipment are not currently available for use by customers connecting to TIPT over the Internet using Business Access or Internet Access Services.

Using Telstra IP Telephony

You may choose to use your Telstra IP Telephony service with handset or IAD equipment, soft clients (Telstra Business Connect and TIPT with Liberate), or a combination of equipment and soft clients.

Compatible equipment

If you choose to use handset or IAD equipment with your Telstra IP Telephony service, you must have compatible handset or IAD equipment. You can purchase or rent compatible equipment (excluding compatible headsets) from Telstra. You can purchase compatible headsets from Telstra. If you do not wish to purchase or rent equipment from Telstra for your Telstra IP Telephony service, you must have your own compatible equipment, approved by us. You will need to supply us with certain details about your compatible equipment if you wish to use your own equipment with your Telstra IP Telephony service.

Minimum Requirements for TIPT Clients

There are minimum system hardware and software specifications for the Telstra IP Telephony clients (which may change from time to time), which you must meet which are available at http://www.telstraenterprise.com/support/TIPTresources/Pages/SystemRequirements.aspx

What is Telstra IP Telephony?

Telstra IP Telephony is a scalable open standards solution that allows you to make and receive telephone voice calls.

Feature Packages

You must select one or more Regular User Feature Packages for your Telstra IP Telephony service.

You may also select one or more Optional User Feature Packages or Optional Group Feature Packages.

Features not currently available to TIPT users connecting over the internet are: Call Centre; MiReception.

If you do not have your own compatible equipment for your Telstra IP Telephony service, you can purchase or rent equipment from Telstra at the prices set out in the table on the right.

Note: Video endpoints are not recommended for use with a Business Access Service.

Note: The following handsets are not currently available for use at a TIPT site with Telstra Business Broadband or Telstra nbn access:

DECT handsets; Huawei 8950, Polycom VVX1500, Polycom IP and TRIO series conferencing phones.

Note: The Polycom VVX models 600, 500, 410, and 300 have recently received a firmware update and have been re-released as the VVX 601, 501, 411 and 301. The newer model designations are the same form factor and features as the older models. Telstra is maintaining the price for the new models at the same price as the older models. All models are covered by TIPT support and warranty for the full term of a TIPT contract.

Note: Handsets are enabled for Power over Ethernet (PoE). If you do not have a PoE switch you must also purchase a suitable power pack for each handset.

The Polycom Trio 8800 conference phone may send and receive video calls with other Trio units, video-equipped VVX units, and GS units if it is paired with the “Polycom Trio Visual+ Collaboration Kit for Trio” (this

TIPT Complete provides a single price for all Local and National Long Distance calling. It does not include Fixed to Mobile calling.

TIPT Complete Premium comprises TIPT Complete benefits plus Fixed to Mobile calling included in the plan price.

If you take up a TIPT Complete Calling Plan, it must be applied across all the active numbers at your required TIPT site. Each active number at that site must have the same plan, at the same monthly rate, applied to them. An active number is a TIPT phone number with a basic, standard or executive pack allocated to it. Telstra can configure, install and provide training for your rented or purchased equipment (excluding headsets). The charges for configuration, installation, and training for your equipment are set out on the right.

You may elect to install your own equipment, or use the services of a third party to install your equipment. If we deliver equipment for you to install as part of your TIPT service, and you later find you need our assistance to install it, we can assist with that installation at Telstra Fee for Service rates. If we deliver equipment for you to install, and you do not install it, we may start charging for the equipment one month from the originally proposed installation date.

If you choose to install equipment for use with your TIPT service, use the services of a third party to do so, or have existing equipment compatible with the TIPT service, the $50.00 (excl. GST) establishment fee for each feature package you select will still apply.

The customer integration workshop is a high level workshop Telstra may provide to you to assist with the installation of your equipment, The charges are set out on the right.

The Video Equipment data speed is the data rate your video unit will transmit the video image at. This data rate is higher when sent over your LAN and IP VPN as indicated.

This service is useful for attendants who handle many incoming calls, by allowing them to hold calls simply by transferring them to dedicated parking stations. This service also allows the holding of calls without having to use a flash key

Barge-In Exempt When a user has the Barge-in Exempt service enabled, another user (using the Directed Call Pickup with Barge-in service) cannot barge in on their calls.

Busy Lamp Field The Busy Lamp Field (BLF) feature gives users the ability to “watch” the status of another user’s Line. Although similar in appearance to the Telstra IP Telephony Shared Call Appearance feature, the primary difference is that you do not have control of the line as with Shared Call Appearance. With BLF you select a group of users to be monitored but do not configure a shared identity on the user’s phone.

This service enables a user to automatically redirect all incoming calls to another destination.

Commpilot Express CommPilot Express enables a user to pre-configure multiple profiles for managing incoming calls differently based on a preset status as follows: Available – In the office; Available – Out of the office; Busy and Unavailable.

Customer Originated Trace

Customer Originated Trace allows users to initiate a Life Threatening and Unwelcome Call trace. Telstra records the details at our exchange and use them, in accordance with our obligations.

Directed Call Pickup

Directed Call Pickup allows a user to dial a feature access code followed by an extension, to pickup a call directed to a user with that extension in the same customer group.

Directed Call Pickup With Barge-In

Directed Call Pickup with Barge-in allows users to dial a feature access code followed by an extension to pickup a call directed to another user in the same customer group, or barge-in on the call if the call was already answered.

Diversion Inhibitor The Diversion Inhibitor service prevents calls, redirected by a user, from being redirected again by the called party. This service is especially useful to help prevent calls from being answered by another user’s voice mail when using Simultaneous Ringing or Sequential Ringing.

Do Not Disturb This service allows a user to set their status as unavailable.

External Calling Line ID Delivery

This feature allows a user to be able to view the caller ID information of another user in a different group. This feature also applies to Intra-group calls that use the Network Server.

Flash Call Hold The Flash Call Hold feature allows a user to hold one call for any length of time until either party goes on-hook.

Flash Call Transfer The Flash Call Hold service has priority over Flash Call Transfer. This means that if a user hangs up after bringing in a second party following the Flash Call Hold feature access code, the two remaining parties are not connected together. If the Flash Call Hold feature access code is not dialled however, Flash Call Transfer works as usual.

Flash Three-Way Call

When Flash Call Hold holds a call, flashing the switch-hook again during an add-on call does not conference the parties but rather returns a special dial tone. The only way to conference all parties in that situation is to use the Conference button on the Call Manager.

When Consultation Hold holds a call, a three-way call behaves as usual.

When Call Waiting Hold holds a call, flashing the switch-hook toggles between the two parties, and a conference can only be established using the Call Manager.

Hoteling Guest Hoteling allows a user to associate their service profiles with devices other than their own. Hoteling Guest, is used to allow a user to associate their service profile with a user’s device that has the Hoteling Host service assigned.

Hoteling Host Hoteling allows a user to associate their service profiles with devices other than their own. Hoteling Host is used to designate a particular user as a host allowing other users, with the Hoteling Guest service assigned, to associate their service profile with this user’s device.

Intercept User This service allows the system to intercept calls routed to a line that has been decommissioned, providing an informative announcement and alternate routing options (for example, “This number is no longer in service. To talk to an operator, press 0”).

Sequential Ring This service allows users to define a “find-me” list of phone numbers or URLs, which are alerted sequentially upon receiving an incoming call that matches a set of criteria.

Shared Call Appearance 15*

This service allows an incoming call to appear at up to 15 locations simultaneously. All devices where call appearance is shared can be used to answer an incoming call or originate a call on behalf of the main location, like in an administrative assistant/executive scenario for instance.

Speed Dial 100The Speed Dial 100 service allows users to place calls using a directory of up to 100 frequently called numbers. The user dials the associated two-digit speed code, which is preceded with a configurable prefix. This is a user-assignable service that involves two activities: programming and dialling.
