Tighes Hill Public School Newsletter No. 16 Principal’s Report Welcome back to Term 4 everyone! We have just one term remaining of the school year and the focus for all teachers and children is on consolidating outcomes in all key learning areas to build upon and achieve semester 2 outcomes. I want to congratulate all the children for the very settled way that they returned to school last week. They looked very smart and tidy in their uniforms. Please help us to keep children in school uniform – don’t forget to wear your hats everyday! Selective High School Test 2020 Selective high schools cater for high achieving academically gifted students who may otherwise be without sufficient classmates at their own academic and social level. These schools help gifted and talented students to learn by grouping them with other gifted and talented students, teaching them in specialized ways and providing education materials at the appropriate level. Applications for selective high school placement are considered mainly on the basis of the Selective High School Placement Test results and school assessment scores. The Selective High School Placement Test will be held on Thursday 14th March 2019.
