RAMS is a 100% volunteer organization that is committed to the Glenrock, Converse County community. 100% of all fundrasising proceeds are reinvested back into the community strictly for the benefit of the community. In 2011 RAMS of Glenrock voted in to make their next major contribution to the community and businesses of Glenrock to be some form of I-25 exposure. RAMS will be hosting fundraisers to raise funds for a bill board on I-25 in hopes of attacting drivers to come into the community and experience all that Glenrock WY has to offer. Glenrock is rich in history. The Oregon, Bozeman, Texas and California Trails all came together along Deer Creek and the Platte River. The Deer Creek Museum is the

perfect place to relive the beginnings of the town. The Paleon Museum welcomes visitors to experience the time before man when Glenrock area was inhabited by a different form of life. The dinosaurs roamed throughout the region during the Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods. The prehistory that exists can be seen at the Paleon Museum. The bones that are on display came from the Kola Quarry north of Glenrock, the Como Bluffs Quarry near Medicine Bow and from a private ranch near Lusk. Besides history Glenrock offers Fine Dining, Unique shopping, Golf Course and is host to the Annual Fire & Ice, Art In The Park, The Yak About Festival & the Fall Fest/Hunters BBQ.

RAMS started community Meet N Greets in 2011. Meet N Greets are hosted by RAMS business members, open to the public, and held on the 3rd Thursday of every other month beginning in February. RAMS will continue to host fundraisers and Meet N Greets to support the Glenrock Community. RAMS looks forward to the participation of our current members, new members and the wonderful Glenrock community

Early in every season, it's easy to get carried away. The season has 34 more races. Even Jimmie Johnson, who left the Daytona 500 (pending appeal of NASCAR penalties) with

minus 23 points, has 24 races to make the Chase. As if to prove the lunacy of drawing early conclusions,

Johnson came back to finish second in the season's second race. He had crashed after one lap at Daytona.

Matt Kenseth, of course, won the 500 for the second time.

In 2009, Kenseth won the 500 and followed it up a week later with a vic-tory in Fontana, Calif. He failed to win again that season and missed the Chase for one of only two times in his career. This time the second race was at Phoenix International Raceway, and Kenseth finished 13th.

Denny Hamlin took the Sprint Cup point lead by winning Phoenix's Subway Fresh Fit 500 a week after he finished fourth in the Daytona 500.

Even though it's early yet, Hamlin was ecstatic about his early momentum, especially since he is coming off a bit of

Don't Get Carried Away ... Yet

answers on page 6

a down year."Huge momentum," Hamlin said. "We've never been in

this position this early in the season. We've always struggled. We've always taken our time -- five or six races in -- before we hit our stride.

"He (crew chief Darian Grubb) made me a winner today."Ah, Darian Grubb. He was Tony Stewart's crew chief last

year. In fact, Grubb was fired by the reigning champion. He moved to Joe Gibbs Racing, Toyota and Hamlin. As a result, dating back to the 2011 Chase, the winning crew chief in six of the last 12 races is ... Grubb.

Not that the drivers, Stewart and Hamlin, didn't have a lot to do with it, mind you.

Stewart is off to a slow start. Re-member, though, that he barely made the Chase last year, and his performances didn't take off until the Chase, when Stewart won half the 10 champion-ship-deciding races.

In short, it's way too soon to start drawing conclusions.• • •

Not All Chest Pain Comes From the HeartDEAR DR. DONOHUE: I am a 38-year-old woman who has a very stressful job.

It is also very well-paying, so I don’t want to give it up. I think it might be giving me chest pain. The pain comes and goes unpredictably. Sometimes I am just sitting at my desk, and I get a squeezing sensation in my chest. At other times, I had been hurrying around.

I have had several EKGs, been examined by three doctors, had a stress test and a radioactive stress test. The doctors say my heart is healthy, and the chest pain could come from stress. In speaking with people I trust, I have been told to have a heart catheterization. What do you think? -- P.A.

ANSWER: None of your three doctors told you that. Don’t you think they might know more than your friends? You have to be guided by advice given to you by those who have had experience in assessing people’s complaints. There’s no pattern to your chest pain. Heart pain, in contrast, causes chest pain when a person is physically ac-tive. That pain goes when the person rests. Your kind of pain is not suggestive of a heart disorder.

Your doctors have told you that your heart is healthy. You have had EKGs, stress tests and even a radioactive stress test. Those tests would have disclosed a heart prob-lem if you had one.

Furthermore, you are only 38 years old -- not an age for heart problems to occur. You mention no family history of heart trouble at early ages.

With a catheterization, a thin, pliable tube is inched from a groin blood vessel to the site where the heart arteries are found. There, dye is injected so doctors can visual-ize the health of heart arteries. The doctors can spot any obstructions, like cholesterol buildup, in those arteries. It’s an amazing test. However, complications can arise from any procedure that invades the body. When the detection of heart disease can be ac-complished in no other way, information from a catheterization is justified. In your case, it’s not.

Stress is the most likely cause of your chest pain.Coronary artery disease is the No. 1 cause of death in most of the world’s countries.

The booklet on that subject explains in detail its symptoms and its treatments. To order a copy, write: Dr. Donohue -- No. 101W, Box 536475, Orlando, FL 32853-6475. Enclose a check or money order (no cash) for $4.75 U.S./$6 Canada with the recipient’s printed name and address. Please allow four weeks for delivery.

• • •Dr. Donohue regrets that he is unable to answer individual letters, but he will incorporate them in his column

whenever possible. Readers may write him or request an order form of available health newsletters at P.O. Box 536475, Orlando, FL 32853-6475.

Veterans who have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) sometimes act out and commit crimes as a result of their mental-health issues.

Veterans Treatment Court was developed as an in-termediary stop for veterans who would have ended up incarcerated for their crimes. VTC works in conjunction with local Department of Veterans Affairs facilities to decrease the number of veterans who become involved with the justice system and divert them to mental-health treatment. In areas that are on board with the VTC program (most major metropolitan areas are), when a

Veterans Treatment Court

veteran is arrested for a non-violent crime that was com-mitted due to substance abuse or mental health issues, the veteran is sent to Veterans Treatment Court.

In VTC, eligible veterans receive mental-health as-sessment and treatment, likely through the VA. While in treatment, which might include weekly visits to the court to check in, the judge will watch progress. Once the treatment is finished, the original charge can be reduced or dismissed. Any failure on the part of the veteran -- drug use, for example -- can lead to punish-ment such as fines, re-arrest or jail time.

The VTC program isn’t only about intervention with the justice system. Help also is available for housing, transportation, job training and search, and medical and mental-health treatment.

Another program, Veterans Justice Outreach, centers on assisting veterans whose mental illness led to the commission of crimes. Rather than jail, each veteran is assigned to a justice outreach specialist at a VA medical center for assessment, treatment planning and referral.

The specialist coordinates with the court system and also may train local law enforcement about dealing with veterans who have PTSD or traumatic brain injury and provide services to incarcerated veterans.
