THIEF DETECTION POWDERS AND PASTESThese non-toxic Thief Detection Powders and Pastes are used to trap sneak thieves. These powders and pastes are usually planted on articles subject to theft or tampering such as currency, paper money, alarm boxes, cash drawers, etc.

The colour of the powder or paste selected should be compatible to the

surface colour of the article being treated. Upon direct contact with the article, the suspect can be easily identified by the incriminating stain on their hands. The special dye formulation actually intensifies and spreads once the thief attempts to wash off the stain. Usually the stain remains on the hands and clothing for days, even after several attempts to

wash it off. These powders are recommended for indoor use and our pastes for outdoor use.

THIEF DETECTION PASTEThese thief detection pastes will prove without a doubt that the incriminating stain on the suspect’s hands or clothing came from an article treated with “Multi-Stain®.” The initial stain will appear almost immediately. The secondary stain appears when the stain is exposed to long wave ultraviolet light. The third stain will appear under long wave ultraviolet light after the suspect has attempted to wash off the invisible stain. The fourth stain will appear several hours after contact with the treated article. The fourth stain is visible and almost impossible to remove. The yellow paste stains yellow, fluorescent green, fluorescent blue and visible purple. The red paste stains red, fluorescent red, fluorescent blue and visible purple.

UV lamps are routinely used by investigators for locating and identifying a variety of different materials that fluoresce when exposed to ultraviolet light.

This series of UV long wave and short wave lamps are perfect for applications where compact and lightweight lamps are required. Each long wave model is provided with a filtered UV tube providing high UV intensity while absorbing most of the

UV ABSORBING PROTECTIVE EYEWEARThese goggles, spectacles, and face shield are specifically designed to protect the user’s eyes from most ultraviolet radiation, reduce eye fatigue, and eliminate “blue haze” interference, thereby improving the contrast between the fluorescent area and the surrounding background.

All UV protective eyewear shown provide longwearing comfort and are proportioned to fit easily over regular eyeglasses. The face shield is adjustable and has a visor that can be pivoted off the face.

All goggles and spectacles meet ANSI specification Z87.1 and OSHA standard 1910.133 for eye protection. The face shield meets the OSHA standard for face protection as well.

When an individual handles metal objects or weapons, trace amounts of the metal are deposited on his or her hands. This Trace Metal Detection Kit is designed to detect those metal traces. Simply spray the trace metal detection solution on the suspect’s hands, then illuminate the area with the short wave UV lamp to make the trace metal visible. In most cases, the actual shape of the metal object can be determined on the suspect’s hands, as shown in the photograph.
