THE WATER CYCLE!!!
Febuary 2012By Caroline Barbieri
EVAPORATION Evaporation is when a puddle shrinks as
water evaporates into the air. Water also evaporates from lakes,
oceans, and rivers. The warmer the air, the faster it
evaporates. When the sun heats up water it
evaporates.
CONDENSATION Condensation is when warm moist air
touches a cool window, water vapor starts to condense.
Tiny water droplets form on windows. Water vapor condenses in high air. When the water vapor condenses clouds
are formed.
PRECIPITATION Precipitation is when clouds get to
heavy and lets out water droplets also know as rain.
Most precipitation falls on oceans. 1 example is rain fall 2 example is snow 3 example is sleet 4 example is hail
RUN-OFF Run-Off is when water goes downhill. When water reaches the ground, some
of it soaks in what doesn’t soak in goes downhill.
Rainfall that does not soak into the soil but the water after goes down hill.
