It may include the carrying of crosses, banners, lights, relics, branches or the Sacrament. History: Christian processionals have been known since the 4th century. They invoke the Biblical exodus out of Egypt, the procession of the Ark of the Covenant, entry of pilgrims into Jerusalem for festivals, and Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem for Passover. Processing This years’ theme for Stewardship is “Our Generous God.” Over the next three weeks, we will consider the many ways that God is generous to us and how we, in turn, are generous to others. This week we will talk about Our Faith. We will explore ways that we are transformed by God’s amazing love and grace as we participate in making disciples of Jesus for the transformation of the world. You should have received information in your mail earlier this week giving more details about this years’ campaign. We will mail additional information soon, as well as Estimate of Giving Cards and Time and Talent surveys. We’re looking forward to seeing you in worship on Sunday!

Parenting Through the Phases
6-week parenting study led by Les and Nancy Teel
Sunday evenings, 5:00-6:30pm
Childcare provided with 252 children’s programming or nursery
October 7 – November 11
Presented by ORANGE, the children’s curriculum used at AUMC.
Parents have approximately 936 weeks from the time their child is born
until he or she moves onto what’s next. It goes by fast, and kids change and
grow quickly. This study will help you discover what’s changing about
your child, the six things your child needs most, and four conversations to
have with your child while they are in each phase.
For more information, contact Nancy Teel – [email protected] or Sarah
