Introduction - Spoiler

Tears to Tiara take place in a Fantasy World reminiscence of Ancient Roman Empire.It contains references and Lore from various folklore as well as Arthurian Legends

The story focus on 2main Characters,

Arthur, Young Chieftain of a Barbarian Tribe (aka King Arthur)Arawn, “The Demon Lord”

In their struggle to fight against the Holy Empire (Roman) and claim independent for the island of Albion (Britain)

Lore and Legend - Spoiler

The World was create by the Absolute God Vartos.The 12 Spirits are his Servant.

In the absence of Vartos, the Spirits planned to create the Perfect world in the Vision of their Lord, by eliminate all life forms on the Lower World and turn the World pure White.

Myrddin, the old Spirit, disobeyed the Council and gave Fire and Knowledge to Man. After his Execution, Arawn, “The 13th Spirit”, became a Fallen Angel and lead the Old Races of Fairies and Dragons against the Spirits.

The End of the War freed the Lower World from the rule of the Spirits, Arawn fell to eternal slumber, the Old Races Declined, and The Age of Man began.

Present Era - Spoiler

As era has passed and the Ancient War became altered Myth.

The Holy Empire decreed Vartos its one and absolute God, and outlaw all other worship as heresy.

ToT1 - After being regarded as a Demon Lord and awakened by a Corrupted Priest, Arawn lead the Gaul Tribe to Albion and fight an independent War.

ToT2 – Hispania (Spain), once an Empire Province, was defeated and Politically oppressed under false charge of Rebellion.Hamil, the Young Lord of Hispania revived the tradition of worshipping the Old Gods and lead Hispania against the Holy Empire.

The PointIn order for Players to feel immersed in the story.It is mandatory that they have the base knowledge of the Lore that the World is set in.If it is something invented or not existing in Real World, it is mandatory that they were introduced in an understandable fashion.

Even though it is a Fantasy, Tears to Tiara’s conflicts at its core are based on Real World Social Conflicts. As such, as long as the Player have moderate knowledge of Social Study, they can be understand even when not explained.

FF13 however, not only did it failed to do lots of explanation, the conflict is hardly anything that an average person would have the knowledge or experience on.

Tears To Tiara 2 – Isabel *SpoilerFormerly an associate of Harmil, her betrayal lead to fall of Hispania, and she was granted nobility by the Empire.

She appeared numerous times in the story.For the 1st quarter of the Game, defeating her is near impossible.And the player has no choice but to runaway toward the Stage’s goal. Time and time again hopelessly felt that sense of defeat until you are strong enough to fight against her.

Till eventually,The Final Climatic Battle against her isamongst the most dramatic event imaginable.

It seems like fight against him abruptly ended.Did he do anything in the latter half of the game?

In Conclusion

Some of you might also realized that,The main Reasons I liked Tears to Tiara more than Final Fantasy is mostly because FF tripped too often.

Waiting for FF6 iOS =>The only FF that I can never complain about

Budget-wise, ToT is a vastly inferior Game to FF.However, with the interesting Narrative Combination,To certain Target Audience, in this case ME, it will become a Memorable Piece of Arts to be talk about.

Which is really Bad
