Chapter One

It was 3:30, and I was in science class, in Mr. Chalfants room with the rest of my class, learning about Mercury. I love science, and I really like Mr. Chalfant!

Ten minutes later I went to my real classroom , Mrs . Regenskis class. As soon as I got in there I started to pack up and I noticed there was a note on my shoe. It read: I Lupis Writer

I was very curious. I couldnt think of anything else the whole day. When I unwrapped the note again, I noticed something there was a piece of gum! How come I didnt see that before?

I didnt eat much for dinner that night because I was too busy thinking about the love note.

Chapter 2At recess the next day, I played jump rope with Emily and Anna. Olivia came over and I noticed she was chewing gum. I asked her, Where were you yesterday at 3:30? She mumbled something, so I asked her again, Where were you?

In Mrs. Regenskis classroom, she said quietly. What seat?Codys seat.Who sat next to you? I continued to question.UmmAshanti, she replied nervously.

That night I cracked the case. It wasnt easy, but I figured since the note was under my desk someone nearby must have written it. My suspects were: Olivia, Ashanti, Anna, and Bradley. I knew it couldnt have been Bradley, and Anna had been absent from school for a week because she had pneumonia.

That left Ashanti and Olivia as suspects without alibis. I suspected it was Ashanti, she had been hanging around Lupis ever since he started kicking home runs in kick ball.

I knew it probably wasnt Olivia because she had been paying all of her attention to Ryan. I decided it was time to question Ashanti.

The next day at recess I confronted Ashanti with my suspicion. She confessed, but I swore that wouldnt tell anyone, thats why I have changed the names in this story.
