This will be a historical, theological and prophetic teaching on the Church and the high calling of God

in Christ.

what is a Paradigm Shift?First coined by Thomas Kuhn, since the 1960s, the term has also been used in numerous non-scientific contexts to describe a profound change in a fundamental model or perception of events.

An example of a paradigm shift is the rejection of the ptolmeyic view of the solar system to the copernician paradigm. This resulted in Galileo placed under threat of death to deny the new paradigm.

DURING THE MIDDLE AGES, THERE WAS A PARADIGM SHIFT INITIATED WITH THE REFORMATION: FROM THE PRIEST HIERARCHY TO THE PRIESTHOOD OF ALL BELIEVERS.

There was a great paradigm shift when Jesus came the first time among his own people of the Jewish nation of Israel. The religious system was legalistic, ethical, moral, but lacking genuine spiritual life. Jesus challenged them to embrace his new paradigm in order to receive the new working of God (“new wine must be placed in new wineskins”)

Shakings going on leading to Reformation in 1517: the great western schism of the Roman Catholic Church, nationalism, invention of Gutenberg printing press, widespread learning, renaissance that questioned traditional thinking.

FROM CHURCH TO THE KINGDOM –

WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE? JEWS EXPECT MESSIAH USHERS IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD (THE AGE TO COME)

JESUS CAME PREACHING & DEMONSTRATING THE KINGDOM OF GOD; PAUL PREACHED & DEMONSTRATED THE KINGDOM OF GOD; JOHN PREACHED THE KINGDOM OF GOD….

…WHO SERVE THE COPY AND SHADOW OF THE HEAVENLY THINGS, AS MOSES WAS DIVINELY INSTRUCTED WHEN HE

WAS ABOUT TO MAKE THE TABERNACLE. FOR HE SAID, “SEE THAT YOU MAKE ALL THINGS ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN SHOWN YOU ON THE MOUNTAIN.” (HEB. 8:5)

16 SO LET NO ONE JUDGE YOU IN FOOD OR IN DRINK, OR REGARDING A FESTIVAL OR A NEW MOON OR SABBATHS, 17 WHICH ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME, BUT

THE SUBSTANCE IS OF CHRIST.

FOR THE LAW WAS GIVEN THROUGH MOSES, BUT GRACE AND TRUTH CAME THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. (JOHN 1:7)

GOD IS IN THE RESTORATION & TOTAL SALVATION BUSINESS

Acts 3:20, 21:

whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began….

Hebrews 6:1-3Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this we will[a] do if God permits.

Ephesians 4:11-13And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 

GOD IS IN THE RESTORATION BUSINESS

I Peter 1:5

who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Revelation 12:10Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death

Romans 8:29, 19For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified…. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

GOD IS IN THE RESTORATION BUSINESS

The BeatitudesAnd seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,    For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.4 Blessed are those who mourn,    For they shall be comforted.5 Blessed are the meek,    For they shall inherit the earth.6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,    For they shall be filled.7 Blessed are the merciful,    For they shall obtain mercy.8 Blessed are the pure in heart,    For they shall see God.9 Blessed are the peacemakers,    For they shall be called sons of God.10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,    For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The 7 Spirits of GodThere shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.2 The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him,The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,The Spirit of counsel and might,The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

IN-PART REALM: THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

I Corinthians 12-14; Romans 12:4-8; 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whetherthere are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

YOU HAVE ASCENDED ON HIGH,

YOU HAVE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE;

YOU HAVE RECEIVED GIFTS AMONG MEN,

EVEN FROM THE REBELLIOUS,THAT THE LORD GOD MIGHT

DWELL THERE. (PSALM 68:18)

FULLNESS REALM: THE 7 SPIRITS OF GOD- NO

LIMITATION

34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. (John 3:34; Isaiah 11)

Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, (Rev. 1:4)

IN THE TRANSITION PERIOD ALL THAT THE CHURCH LOST MUST FIRST BE RESTORED AND THEN GO BEYOND:“LET US GO UNTO PERFECTION” (HEBREWS 6:1)

In church history we see God restoring all that the enemy stole through religious tradition and institutional ritual and forms.

1) The gifts of the Spirit largely were not manifesting since 3rd century onward; only the desert fathers were walking in the miraculous and supernatural. The theology merged with Greek philosophy and replaced the walking in the Spirit and revelation knowledge.

2) Luther and Calvin restored the priesthood of all believers and the pastor office.

3) Anabaptists restored water baptism

4) John Wesley, Whitefield restored discipleship, teacher office and revival

5) Azusa Street restored the baptism of the Holy Spirit

6) Latter Rain visitation restored prophetic office

7) Healing Evangelists of the 60’s restored gifts of healing

8) Charismatic movement - Other gifts of the Spirit

9) Apostolic movement being restored (signs, wonders)

NOW WE ARE IN A TRANSITIONAL PERIOD MOVING FROM THE CHURCH AGE (GRACE) TO THE KINGDOM AGE (GOVERNMENT)

During the dispensation of Grace, there was a transitional time between the Dispensation of the Law and the Age of Grace (i.e., John the Baptist overlapped the period of grace). There were 30 years between Jesus birth and his crucifixion and resurrection (33 AD or 38 AD). Also, there was an apparent transitional time for Israel to transition to the new covenant. Once the second temple was destroyed the old mosaic system transitional time was over as the new covenant was fully in place (40 years to the destruction of the temple in 70 AD).

The next move of God will challenge you to go beyond what you have so far experienced. Like Moses who was in the wilderness for 40 years until God took Egypt out of him, so God is seeking to work in you now to prepare you. Are you ready to lay down everything including all you trust to be secure to get all that God has for you? The next wave on the horizon is the apostolic, ministry.

FINALLY, WHAT DO I DO NOW?ISAAC DUG AGAIN THE WELLS OF WATER THAT HAD BEEN DUG IN THE DAYS OF HIS FATHER ABRAHAM; FOR THE PHILISTINES HAD STOPPED THEM UP AFTER THE DEATH OF ABRAHAM – GENESIS 26:18A
