the colonies and gives the colonists what they want.

1758 – British finally takes Fort Duquesne at the Forks of the Ohio – it is renamed Pittsborough

British continue to beat the French around the world.

Quebec, the capital of New France, is the final French stronghold. In 1759, the British under Gen. James Wolfe

attack and defeat the French at Quebec. Both Wolfe and the Marquis de Montcalm die. Montreal falls the next
