Mystery: Baptism, Death, Burial, and Resurrection
When: 10:15-11:10 am (March 15, 22, 29, and April 5) Where:
Multi-Purpose Room Teachers: Fr. Bert and Fr. Mike
The life and destiny of the Christian begins and ends in what
the Church calls the Paschal (Easter) Mystery, the Sacrament of
Holy Baptism by which God adopts us as his children and makes us
members of Christ’s Body the Church, and inheritors of the kingdom
of God. Our baptismal union into Christ’s death, burial and
resurrection grants forgiveness of sins and new life in the Holy
Spirit (Catechism, BCP 858). Join us in this class to explore the
life each of us has in Christ.
Adult Sunday School – News, Reviews & Special Topics When:
10:15-11:10 am, Where: Audio-Visual Room on the 2nd floor, Church
Office Dane Tune, leader, [email protected] News, Reviews &
Special Topics is usually provocative, sometimes controversial and
a never dull examination of current events in both religious and
secular worlds with an eye to the moral and ethical content of
these events. This class is designed to raise both the ethical and
moral issues in our contemporary culture and to provide our thought
about appropriate religious and specifically Christian responses to
them. While the subject is carefully prepared, the class encourages
full discussion from the participants.
Adult Sunday School – Spiritual Formation When: 10:15-11:10 am
Where: Church Library, Church Office Susan Clark, leader,
[email protected] The spiritual formation group chooses and
studies books on many different subjects related to our Christian
faith. Currently, they are reading The Man who Met God in a Bar, by
Robert Farrar Capon. The class begins with prayer and then members
enjoy a lively discussion of the chapter read for the day.
Everyone’s opinion matters and is respected by the group. Everyone
is welcome!
