How did Team Dublin do in 2016?

Over 1,000 people in Dublin (representatives from 50 workplaces)

cycled over 108,000 KMs! Average trip lengh – 8.48 kms;

Male:Female – 66:34 70% were work trips

Is ECC17 a team event?

• Your team is your city!

• In Ireland that’s Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick & Waterford.

• Your sub-team is your workplace or Campus!

– If you want your workplace on the Leaderboard please let your city coordinator know so we can add you!

• You can also sign up to your Local Authority Area sub-team

1. Join your City Team & If participating, your Workplace

2. Track your bike-trips with:

• The Naviki free App on your Smartphone OR

• Manually insert trips on the naviki.org website (up to 6/day) OR

• Import a .gpx journey file created with a GPS tracking system.

3. If you join after May 1st, & backlog trips

4. All kinds of bikes allowed - rented, City Bike, electric..

7. Accepted trips should be functional e.g. trips to and from work, school, shopping, friends, cinema, gym etc

8. Trips longer than 35kms or averaging >30 km/h or having a max speed >45 km/h are not accepted

9. In the "City Leaderboard " only the kms cycled within the defined borders count (e.g. trips anywhere within County Dublin borders will be counted)

10. You can only join one City Team.

Be seen and Cycle Safe!

• Be Seen – Dress Bright and use your Lights!

• Signal clearly – get eye contact & wave if required

• Make sure your bike is in good working order

• BE AWARE of left-turning vehicles!

• Be predictable – follow the rules of the road!

• Correctly fitted helmet

• Respect other road users
