The Information technology – Standard networking associate of applied Sciences degree program at CMC will give you the tools you need to install and manage computer networks for companies and organiza- tions. 4 Information Security Specialist
The Information Security Specialist certificate is designed for students with an interest in the wide range of activities associated with the protection of informa- tion, one of an organization’s most vital assets. This cer- tificate will provide you with a foundation in computer operations, programming and data communications with a breadth and depth of instruc- tion in information security. The curriculum is designed to give you a basic understand- ing and working knowledge in information security, as well as prepare you to pass the CompTIA Security + exam, which is considered to be the worldwide standard of competency for foundation- level security practitioners.

4 Web Site Development
CMC offers a number of op- tions if you want to enter the field of Web site develop- ment. The web application developer associate of applied Sciences degree program will prepare you for a career as a Web developer or Webmaster. Once you’ve com- pleted your degree, you will be able to create interactive Web pages using client- and
server-side Web applications that interface with relational database systems. You will be able to program in languages such as Java, Visual Basic, SQL, ASP, Cold Fusion, Perl, JavaScript,HTML, XML, and PHP languages, as well as manage and maintain Web sites and Web servers. With the AAS degree, you will receive a solid academic foundation with a range of core curriculum, as well.

4 Cisco Networking
This program, available as both an AAS and certificate program, will prepare you to design, build and main- tain networks capable of supporting national and global organizations. Your coursework will cover a complete range of basic through advanced networking concepts – from pulling cable to more complex concepts such as subnet masking rules and strategies. The methods of learning are varied – with interactive online lessons, texts, movies and exten- sive hands-on applications. Once you have successfully completed the program, you will be qualified to complete the Cisco Certified Network Associate examination. The cisco networking associate of applied Sciences degree program will also introduce you to a wide range of core curriculum, as well as special- ized technology topics such as network security.
The cisco certified network associate certificate pro- gram focuses exclusively on the courses you will need to pass the CCNA examination.
4 Network Service
The Server + certificate program introduces multi-use, multi-tasking network operat- ing systems. The focus of the coursework is on characteris- tics of Linux, Unix, Windows 2000 and 2003, NT, and XP networking operating systems and explores a variety of topics including installation procedures, security issues, back-up procedures and re- mote access. The program will prepare you for the CompTIA Server + certification and the Linux + certification.
4 A+ Computer Technician
The a+ computer technician certificate program provides a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating sys- tem technologies, including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventative maintenance, and basic networking. It is a foundation certificate for computer repair technicians. Additionally, this certificate will prepare you to take the CompTIA A+ cer- tification exams, an interna- tional industry credential that validates the knowledge of computer service technicians with the equivalent of 500 hours of hands-on experience. Major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers accept CompTIA A+ certification as the standard in foundation-level, ven- dor-neutral certification for service technicians.
