“9 de Julio” is one of the 135 districts of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is

located in the centre-west of the province.

It was founded on October 27, 1865. In that same year, the teacher

According to the census (2010) it has a population of 47733 inhabitants. It

has 10 rural locations that have decreased since the railroad was

cancelled. They continue to exist due to the efforts of the population and

the municipality that provides health and education services.

The Party has 423,000 inhabitants, 390,000 have engaged in agricultural-

livestock production. The main crops are: wheat, corn, sunflower, and

soybeans.

The industry that exists is related to the Agro. This means that there is a

direct relation between the industry and the district. So, when the

industry thrives, the province thrives too. But, when the industry declines,

the province is impoverished.

In the centre-west of Buenos Aires province, the district “9 de Julio”

extends its fields of culture, its lagoons, channels and wooded walks.

The Municipal Park Gral San Martin, stands as an immense green garden

in the city. It proudly displays its internal lagoon and an unimaginable

island erected in the middle of the water mirror, which is accessed

through a beautiful small bridge.

There are several other lagoons scattered the territory of 9 de Julio;

inviting the fishing of tararira, silverside and other species, and allowing

the family delight in safe days in the open air.






The historical Museum dedicated to gather documents and historical

pieces and the rural town La NiÑa, which struggled in the last decade

because of natural transformations that obliged its citizens to alter their

life style; both places are important tourism centres, that everyone

should meet someday.

These characteristics make the party of 9 de Julio, a tourist destination for

those who seek serene rest and a framework of exquisite nature.






There are cultural centres, such as the José Ingenieros Popular Library

with 85 years of existence and various groups such as clubs, Corner of Art

and Culture.

It possesses an important quantity of organizations that provide assistance

to the needs of people. These organizations achieve very good results,

with responsibility and generosity.
