You’ve always hada knack for the arts. Now it’s time to create your future.

Artistic Merit Award - $8,000 - $20,000 over four yearsArtistic merit awards are selected through audition or portfolio review by art, music, and theatre faculty. Students selected for these $2,000-$5,000/year awards are eligible to renew them if they continue to participate in the artistic program.

Artistic Merit Awards require separate auditions or applications. Visit centenary.edu/fa for more information on how to be considered

for these awards.

Centenary offers small class sizes with distinguished faculty, providing ample opportunity for artists to master a variety of areas within their craft. Students emerge from our visual and performing arts degree programs as well-rounded, successful young professionals.

My dream is to become a professional film actor.

I developed a passion for acting late in my high school career but didn’t actually touch the stage

until college when I landed my first lead role in a play as a first-year

at Centenary. Not many college students can say

they had that kind of opportunity

so soon.

I had heard about Centenary’s choir but I had to see it to believe it. My first performance with the Choir was so formative. People in the audience came

up to me afterwards with tears in their eyes expressing their love

for a particular song or sharing their experience

and gratitude. I am incessantly grateful for

being a part of the choir.

When I put my first website online during

my Web Design course I got to see the concrete evidence of my education in front of me and it was so

rewarding. There is an environment of creative

growth at Centenary that is fostered by

encouraging faculty and peers. They’re giving me the tools to grow as an artist and professional to achieve my goals.
