Society ChairPeter Adamson III is founder, chairman and CEO of Autumn Glory Partners, LLC. Previously, he was one of the founders of Adams Hall Asset Management, an asset management company with over $2 billion in AUM at the time of its sale. He was an owner and principal in Houchin, Adamson & Co., Inc., a registered broker-dealer formed in 1980. Adamson has more than 48 years of experience in the industry with a focus on preservation of capital for individuals, families, trusts and foundations. A former C.P.A., his experience includes numerous private equity fi nancings with tax effi cient structuring. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Tulsa Community Foundation, where he is currently chairman of the Finance Committee, and the advisory board of the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma. A recipient of the 1995 OU Board of Regents Leadership Award, Adamson has chaired several community organizations including Tulsa Zoo Friends, The Salvation Army’s William Booth Society, Holland Hall School, Tulsa County City Jail and others, and has served on the board of several public companies. Adamson received his BBS degree from the University of Oklahoma.

New MembersMaxi Anderson - PartnerDoctors Larry Anderson and Sasha Vukelja, of Tyler, Texas, chose to recognize their daughter, Maxi Anderson, a 2018 Price College entrepreneurship graduate, and the impact she made during her recent years on campus. While a student, Maxi was highly involved with Campus Activities Council and Soonerthon, raising the largest amount to date in support of OU Children’s Hospital. They established an endowed fund to provide scholarships to undergraduate students with fi nancial need who are involved with CAC and Soonerthon, with preference given to fi rst generation students who are involved in the college’s Multicultural Business Program.

Betsy R. Branch - PartnerBetsy Branch earned bachelor of accountancy and BBA in international business degrees from OU in 1996. With more than 20 years of professional accounting experience, including 19 years in public accounting and 13 years in Silicon Valley, Branch has served a broad array of clients, ranging from large, multi-national publicly-traded companies to early-stage start-up businesses, primarily in the technology and life science markets. She currently serves as a Partner in Assurance Services at Ernst & Young in Dallas.

Marsha and Michael R. Buckley - PartnerDr. Michael R. “Mike” Buckley is a professor of management and the JCPenney Leadership Chair in the Price College’s Division of Management and International Business. Buckley received his Ph.D. from Auburn and his areas of expertise include organizational behavior and human resources management. In 2014, Buckley and his wife, Marsha, created the Michael and Marsha Buckley Endowed Management Scholarship to benefi t undergraduate or graduate students from the state of Oklahoma pursuing a management degree in Price College.

Ann-Clore and Walt Duncan - PartnerAnn-Clore and Walt Duncan of Edmond, Okla., are generous and stalwart supporters of the Price College’s Tom Love Center for Entrepreneurship. Mr. Duncan is the president of Duncan Oil Properties, Inc., in Oklahoma City. Duncan Oil is a privately-held, family-owned oil and gas exploration and production company established in the late 1950s. The Duncan family acquired their fi rst oil and gas lease in the Illinois Basin more than 75 years ago and currently manages energy interests in 26 states and Canada.

New MembersKyle Ferguson - PartnerAttorney Kyle Ferguson earned a business degree from Vanguard University in Southern California, then achieved both MBA and law degrees from OU in 1999. Ferguson is the founder and president of Ferguson Braswell Fraser Kubasta PC, a full-service corporate law fi rm located in Plano, Texas. He specializes in corporate law, securities, business formation and transactions. He established the law fi rm in 2005, which provides business transactions, intellectual property, fi nancial and securities, employment, litigation and commercial real estate services.

Monica and Brent Humphries - PartnerBrent Humphries graduated with a BBA in fi nance from OU in 1990. He is president of Alliance Bernstein Private Credit Investors. The Austin, Texas, couple are the proud parents of J. Holland and Hensley, and much of their spare time is spent supporting J. Holland on the golf course and Hensley in horsemanship. The couple established the Humphries Scholars program to support students in Price College’s Wall Street Sooners program.

Cassie and Clint Koerth - PartnerClint Koerth received his BBA in Petroleum Land Management (now Energy Management) from OU in 1993 and currently serves as the CEO of Castell Oil in Fort Worth, Texas. While a student at OU, Clint was a letterman for the OU golf team. Clint and his wife, Cassie, support various charities in the DFW area as well as OU. Their Adams Society membership supports the Robert M. Zinke Energy Management Program.

Krishnamurty “Krish” Muralidhar - PartnerDr. Muralidhar is a professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management and is the Research Director for the Center for Business of Healthcare in Price College. He earned a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University, an MBA from Sam Houston State University, and a BSC from the University of Madras in India. Muralidhar’s areas of expertise include data privacy, quantitative methods, operations research, statistical methods and simulation. He and his wife, Dr. Radhika Santhanam, the Director of Price College’s Division of Management Information Systems, support various areas within the college, particularly Marketing and Supply Chain Management and MIS.

New MembersKay and R. Clark Musser - PartnerRobert Clark Musser graduated with a BBA in fi nance in 1967 and a Juris Doctorate in 1970, both from the University of Oklahoma. Kay Pappan Musser also attended OU and earned her BA in mathematics in 1969. The Mussers, both of Oklahoma City, appreciate and endorse the important benefi ts of incorporating an international experience into higher education. In an effort to advance this belief, they endowed a scholarship fund that will reward, support and motivate deserving Price College students who are interested studying abroad in Europe.

Brad and Chilton Purcell - PartnerBrad Purcell received his BBA in management from Price College in 2005 and a Masters of Administrative Leadership from OU in 2009. While a student, Brad was a member of the OU golf team. Chilton and Brad, of Norman, are longtime members of the President’s Associates program and also support OU golf. Brad is the Director of Development in Price College’s Offi ce of External Relations. The couple supports the many initiatives of Price College with their membership in the Adams Society.

Rick Scheer - PartnerRick Scheer is a 1989 OU business fi nance graduate who invented and launched the Red River Tea Company in Dallas in 1996. He entered the market by developing and patenting a revolutionary “one-cup” tea brewer, and his company has expanded into fresh brewed and concentrate teas, lemonades and sweeteners. Two decades later, Red River Tea Company is one of the leading suppliers of taste-test winning fresh-brewed tea in convenience stores and food service institutions under the TEAZZERS and private label brands.

Brian J. Turrentine - PartnerBrian Turrentine received his BBA in accounting from OU in 1986 and MBA from Columbia Business School in 1988. Turrentine is a managing director and banker within J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Dallas. He provides investment management, corporate fi nance, wealth advisory and banking services to ultra-high net worth clients and their related business interests, specializing in real estate, private equity and family offi ce sectors. He is a licensed CPA in both New York and Texas, where he serves as a board member of the Dallas Marathon.

Whitman - PartnerMark Whitman earned his BAcc/MAcc in accounting from Price College in 1998 and was a member of Delta Sigma Pi, the co-ed professional business fraternity. The couple resides in Norman and contributes to the Ernst & Young Focus on Energy Accounting fund in Price College’s Steed School of Accounting.

Shana and Cam Williams - PartnerCameron “Cam” Williams earned his BBA in fi nance from OU in 1989. He currently is a Partner with Alix Partners, following previous stints with Black & Veatch, Sprint Nextel, EDS and Booz Allen Hamilton. Shana (Gregory) Williams received a BBA in accounting in 1989 and works for the First Hand Foundation, which provides funding for children with health-related needs when insurance and other fi nancial resources have been exhausted. The Williams’ reside in Leawood, Kansas, and recently joined the Adams Society as a way to provide discretionary funding for Price College.

Mark P. Worley - PartnerMark Worley received a BBA in fi nance from the University of Oklahoma in 1982. He is First Vice President, Wealth Management and Senior Portfolio Manager for UBS. Previously, he held positions with FedEx, Avery Dennison and Texas Instruments. Worley serves as the president of three OU Alumni Clubs of Ohio (Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus), and supports Price College and Dean Pullin’s initiatives through his membership in the Adams Society.

Lindsey and Tray Black - InvestorTray Black received a BS in petroleum engineering from OU in 1998 and is currently the Vice President of Finance and CFO for Springbok Energy in Dallas. He is a member of the Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering Industrial Advisory Board and previously served as the President of the OU Club of Houston. Lindsey (Olsen) Black received a BA in political science and Spanish studies from the University of Minnesota, and an MA in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of St. Thomas in Texas. She is a teacher, most recently with KIPP Houston Public Schools.

New MembersWade Brockway - InvestorWade Brockway received his BBA/MAcc from Price College in 2012 and was an Outstanding Senior and Price Ambassador. While at Price, Brockway launched the inaugural Price College Service Day with Delta Sigma Pi. He is a manager in the federal tax practice of KPMG, LLP and based in Fort Worth, Texas, where he specializes in private equity and family offi ce clients.

Chris Curry - InvestorChris Curry of Paradise Valley, Ariz., received a BBA in fi nance from Price College in 2002. He is the Chief Operating Offi cer of Pavilion Financial Alternatives Group. As a student, he was a member of the JCPenney Leadership Program. Chris supports the Division of Finance through his Adams Society membership.

Eva and Parker Hevron - InvestorEva Hevron received her BAcc/MAcc in accounting from Price College in 2006. As a student, Eva was a member of the JCPenney Leadership Program and was named Outstanding Senior. She is a senior manager in Assurance Services at Ernst & Young in Dallas. Parker Hevron is an assistant professor of government in the Department of History and Government at Texas Woman’s University. He earned his BA in political science and history from Austin College in 2006, and his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Southern California in 2013. The Hevrons support various areas of OU, including the School of Dance, JCPenney Leadership Program and the Steed School of Accounting.

Lara and Doug Manor - InvestorDoug Manor received his BBA in fi nance from OU in 2004 and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. While a student, he was a scholastic All-American for the OU golf team. Doug currently is Principal at Neuberger Berman investment management fi rm. Lara Manor earned a BBA and BA, fi nance and Spanish, cum laude, from SMU in 2007, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas Law School in 2013. She is a Senior Associate at Vela | Wood corporate law fi rm in Dallas. The Manors support OU golf, the President’s Associates program and Price College’s Wall Street Sooners program.

New MembersChase Meyers - InvestorChase Meyers, of Brooklyn, New York, earned his MBA from Price College and also a BS in construction science from OU. He was named a Price Scholar while working toward his MBA and spent a summer in New York interning under Michael F. Price. Meyers is currently the Senior Director for FLC – Construction Solutions for FTI Consulting in New York. He joined the Adams Society as part of OU’s recent successful 2018 Giving Day.

Bharat D. Patel - InvestorBharat Patel earned his BBA in Management Information Systems from Price College in 2000. He is currently a Senior Manager of SAP Supply Chain at Ernst & Young in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining EY, Bharat was a Senior Consultant with Capgemini, IBM and Sysco. He is currently working with Price College professors and staff to recruit and secure positions for OU students and alumni within EY.

Desiree Taylor - InvestorDesiree Taylor earned her BS in chemical engineering and MBA from OU. She has more than 15 years of experience in the academic world, ranging from teaching, developing STEM curriculum, academic advising at the college and high school levels, private school administration, as well as private one-on-one tutoring for math and science. She launched her own private tutoring company and is focused on its success as it moves into its third year. Taylor is a passionate Sooner as a former student athlete at OU, where she played on the women’s basketball team.

Kyle F. Thompson - InvestorKyle Thompson graduated from Price College in 2001 with a BBA in accounting. As Senior Manager of Indirect Taxes at Ernst & Young, Thompson serves many oil and gas companies across Oklahoma and Texas. In MemoriamThe Arthur B. Adams Society was established in 2010 to form a valuable network of supporters that provides a meaningful difference in students’ experiences within the Michael F. Price College of Business.

It would be diffi cult to separate the history of the College of Business and that of Arthur Barto Adams, who fi gures so prominently in the college’s early-day development, and whose legacy at Price College continues through the prestigious Arthur B. Adams Society.

Professor Adams began his long and distinguished career at the University of Oklahoma in 1913, when he joined the faculty as an assistant professor in the newly created School of Commerce and Industry. A native of South Carolina, Adams earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his master’s and doctoral degrees from Columbia University.

Adams was promoted to associate professor at OU in 1916. With the country’s entry into World War I, he had the opportunity to serve the nation as an economist for the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C. His service came on the heels of being promoted to full professor and director of the School of Public and Private Business at OU. In 1919, with a burgeoning student enrollment, the School of Business became an independent entity within the University, and the Bachelor of Science in Business degree was enacted.

In 1923, Professor Adams was named dean of the School of Business. Two years later, the School of Business was admitted as a member of the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business, the standardizing agency for collegiate schools of business in the United States. The school was elevated to the College of Business Administration in 1929. Adams served as dean until 1948, when he stepped down from his administrative post to return to teaching – a role he would continue until two years before his death in 1959.

During his tenure as dean, the College of Business Administration continued to grow in reputation, student enrollment and programs. By 1941, it was one of the 10 largest collegiate schools of business in the United States. Other highlights include the construction of a new Business Administration building, which was named in honor of Adams in 1952; the initiation of the MBA Program; and the establishment of the Bureau of Business Research, which published the Oklahoma Business Bulletin.
