Volunteer Spotlight Page

For an abused or neglected child, a CASA volunteer is

someone who listens. Someone who reaches out to

teachers, social workers, parents, counselors,

caregivers, and anyone else who can meet the child’s

needs. Someone whose sole mission is to help clear a

path out of the complex, over-burdened child welfare

system and into a safe, permanent home.

35 CASAs has served 86 children from 54 families through advocacy efforts so far this year.

National CASA Conference June 1-4

Volunteers have the opportunity to apply to attend the annual conference to be

held in Atlanta, GA with all expenses paid. Applications must be completed online

by February 1. The National CASA Conference features keynote speakers and

breakout sessions with training in regard to child protection, CASA advocacy work,

and best practices. APPLY TODAY!

Making Christmas Memories December 3

Volunteers are invited to attend Making Christmas Memories at the Spearfish High

School from 5-7 pm. Volunteers can bring their CASA kids to make crafts or

volunteer to help at the NHCASA booth.

The Cost of CASA Advocacy for ONE Child:

$2,000 = 1 year $1,000 = 6 months

$500 = 3 months $175 = 1 month
