Thales draws on more than 20 years of experience in onboard electronic warfare equipment. The company has been conducting fully digital antenna developments since 2003 and now proposes an advanced digital anti-jam architecture that significantly outperforms legacy anti-jam solutions. TopShield comprises a digital antenna electronics unit, combined with a four-element Controlled Radiation Pattern Antenna (CRPA).

DESIGNED TO PROTECT AGAINST THE THREATS OF TODAY AND TOMORROWWith TopShield, reliable GPS navigation remains possible even in the harshest and most hostile environments. The anti-jam system is effective in all threat scenarios: � multiple low-cost jammers. � onboard jammers. � high grade jamming by ground stations.

TopShield is fully compatible with the requirements of the Navwar programme, which prevents use of GPS by hostile forces on the battlefield while ensuring unimpeded use of GPS by US and allied forces equipped with anti-jam GPS. TopShield takes into account the modernisation of GNSS: M code, flexible power spot beam and Galileo.

ONE SOLUTION FOR ALL PLATFORMSTopShield is a multi-application solution (attack, transport and maritime missions). It can be operated with all GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) receivers, including GALILEO. It is designed to operate as a stand-alone unit onboard any military platform (helicopter and aircraft).

THE BEST PROTECTION ON THE MARKETTopShield improves situational awareness on the battlefield, by providing GPS receivers with over 10,000 times better jamming immunity than conventional single antenna.

LOW VOLUME, WEIGHT AND POWER CONSUMPTION. The TopShield digital anti-jam suite comprises a lightweight electronics module and an ultra-small four-element antenna array. The small form factor and low power consumption

make TopShield the easiest anti-jam solution for integrating onboard any platform.

As part of the new generation of fully digital GPS anti-jam solutions, TopShield offers significant improvements in performance at comparable cost: � rejection of multiple jamming sources. � higher availability of satellite signal. � greater tolerance to antenna array installation

constraints (uneven ground plane). � Using a fast STAP (Space Time Adaptive Processing)

technique to perform null steering and beam forming.
