THAILAND IS ONE OF THE WORLD’S BIGGEST RICE PRODUCERS AND EXPORTERS. RICE IS GROWN IN PADDIES (WET FIELDS), WHICH ARE NATURALLY WET FROM RAINFALL, OR ARE ARTIFICIALLY FLOODED.

RICE IS PICCKED BY HAND. THAI PEOPLE EAT RICE WITH ALMOST EVERY MEAL. THAI FOOD IS FAMOUS FOR BEING HOT AND SPICY, AND IS USUALLY EATEN WITH A FORK AND SPOON, NOT WITH CHOPSTICKS.

THE ROYAL PALACE IN BANGKOK WAS THE OFFICIAL HOME OF THE KINGS OF THAILAND FROM THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY, ALTHOUGH THE CURRENT KING DOESN’T LIVE THERE.
