Okay everyone, we are just about finished with our tour. The red brick house you see in front of you is where Bob Proud used to live when he first started painting. He used the attic above the garage as his first studio. He used to paint right there so he could look out and see the ducks swimming in the pond in the park across the street. That was the scene of his first noted painting, the poetic, “Feeling down looking down at yellow down floating down.” That ends our tour. I hope you enjoyed it.

Ladies and gentleman, the captain has turned on the fasten-seat-belt sign. If you have not already done so, please stow your carry-on luggage un-derneath the seat in front of you or in the over-head bin. Please take your seat and fasten your seat belt. And, also make sure your seat is back and the folding trays are in their full upright posi-tion. At this time, we request all electronic equipment, including cellular phones and lap tops, be turned off until we reach cruising altitude as they may interfere with the navigational and communication equipment on this aircraft.

I am very excited to introduce this next person. This is a person who makes me very proud. You see, I knew him when he was just a kid, not unlike all of you. He was a remarkable young fellow who knew how to win everyone over with his smile. I know this because I was his teacher many years ago. And, he has now grown up to become the mayor of this fine metropolis. He has now returned to his alma mater and he is here to address all of you. A great big hand for Larry Wright!
